Then a little, blonde, 6-year old girl - the one with the bangs, named Sadie - saw my daughter on the floor. She was laughing and praying while she sat on the steps watching my daughter. Suddenly, she got up, came right to my daughter and laid hands on her, praying for her. My daughter had her eyes closed, so she didn't see who had prayed for her, but she got baptized in the Holy Spirit right after that little girl prayed.
Dear Jerry:
My children missed out on the night when all the kids received the baptism of the Holy Spirit, because that was at the time I had just heard about the meetings myself. A friend of mine had taken a wrong turn, driven past the church. I didn't start attending until you were well underway by a couple of weeks. Ever since the 20 children had received the baptism of the Holy Spirit that night, I had been hoping there would be another opportunity for my children to be prayed for so they could receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit.
All three of my children had been receiving touches however and by last Wednesday my youngest daughter, Jennifer, who is 13 years old, was growing very, very hungry for what the other kids in the church had received. On Sunday evening she was prayed for by the pastor, and she went down on the floor, shaking.
Then, a little, blonde, 6-year old girl - the one with the bangs, named Sadie - saw my daughter on the floor. She was laughing and praying while she sat on the steps watching my daughter. Suddenly, she got up, came right to my daughter and laid hands on her, praying for her. My daughter had her eyes closed, so she didn't see who had prayed for her - but she got baptized in the Holy Spirit right after that little girl prayed.
The first thing that happened was she started laughing. Then she began laughing harder and harder. She got up to go to the bathroom and fell onto the floor in the hallway. She was screaming loudly, and laughing and crying. She stayed in the hallway for at least a half hour until a man from the church picked her up and carried her back to the front of the church.
We finally had to leave but it had no effect on what was happening to her. She screamed all the way home, and all the way into the house. She kept it up for a solid three hours. About 11:00, she broke out into tongues. That's when I realized she had received the Holy Spirit. About midnight, she broke into preaching, and preached so convincingly that my other two children, ages 14 and 15, were convicted by her preaching. She preached on having a hunger for the Lord, and it was very moving. It was very powerful preaching, and she is only 13.
It is now 1:00am in the morning, and she is still going strong. She is praying for her brother now to receive the Holy Spirit.
Thank You, Kathryn H
