Habakkuk 2:19
Woe unto him that saith to the wood, Awake; to the dumb stone, Arise, it shall teach! Behold, it [is] laid over with gold and silver, and [there is] no breath at all in the midst of it.

People have said:
"I never really understood how much Jesus loved me till now; all that suffering was just for me"MA.
"My life has been changed forever. After seeing what Jesus did for me I must tell someone how much He loves us"CA .

"I was at the point of suicide; it felt like I was living in hell, now I am in heaven. You must come and see what the Lord is doing here. If He can touch me he can touch you."DM
"All my life I felt ugly. I felt no one could ever love me. I got caught up in drugs, sex and suicide. I do not know how I came to the service but words cannot express my gratitude. For the first time in my life I know I am loved and beautiful. I will never go back to that pit of hell again" ka (My friends, this last quote was from a 17 year old teenager. Is not this what Jesus is all about?)

My Dear Friends: April 1, 2002
It is with great delight that I come to you today to report on the last three Regional Gatherings we have had. On the 15th of March, we invaded a place most Christians thought would be off limits- the demon dome in Dumas.
Hundreds of youth came to hear, and many came back to the Lord. On the 22nd of March, the Lord moved on so many that by the end of the service it was like the days described in past revivals, where they literally ran wanting to make sure all was right with God. The last week, we went through the last five days of Jesus. Jerry preached the last five sermons of Jesus then went through His suffering on Good Friday.

Pastor Steve from the First Baptist Church and Pastor Chuck from the Assembly of God in Dalhart are joining Pastor Jeff Taylor from the Central United Methodist Church in Dalhart and inviting us to hold our Friday Gathering at the Central United Methodist Church in Dalhart again. Some were not really sure what would happen last time. The last time we were there, people poured into that church. There was no advertising, no newspapers, no TV or Radio; just word of mouth and one letter we sent out to the people in the area. People and pastors poured in from a five-state area. We had Baptist pastors, Methodist pastors, Assembly of God pastors, First Christian Church pastors, Mennonite pastors and pastors from many independent churches. The outpouring of unity among the churches in the area was almost historic. The hunger in the area for the Lord to touch His people has seldom been this great. We have seen people from all walks of life, and almost all denominational backgrounds, come running to the altar to ask the Lord to touch them or their families. Be a part of history, and come join us.

Did not Jesus say the world will know we are Christians by our love? Is not this what the world is looking for - when the whole body of Christ can come together and feel at home?
So, if you are hungry to see the Lord do something new in your area, and you have been praying for something to happen, this is your day! We would count it an honor to have you with us at "The Gathering" this Friday, April 5th, at the Central United Methodist Church in Dalhart. Join us at 7:00 P.M. as we pray for a window in heaven to open and a blessing to be poured out on all our communities. Don't miss this great opportunity to be part of church history in our area!

May the Lord bless you,

Jerry Gaffney & Pastor John Thuringer
The Regional Gathering this Friday will be held at Central United Methodist Church at 7 PM
517 Rock Island, Dalhart, TX 79022 (806) 244-2306
