My testimony of Healing

At about the age of 14, I started waking up with a sore neck. I thought I was just sleeping on my pillow wrong but, soon after my hands, knees and feet started to hurt and swell also, so my parents took me to see a childrens doctor named Dr. Turner. He diagnosed it as rheumatoid arthritis. This was very discouraging to me. There was so much I wouldn't be able to be a part of in my high school years because of this affliction. Dr. Turner recommended us to an arthritis specialist in Seattle at the childrens hospital. My doctors name was Dr. Wallace. She had several assistants. I had people to measure every single joint, and people to make me shoe soles, leg braces, (to sleep in) weights to strap to my ankles, and many other things. I was supposed to work all my joints, so I would still have mobility. I hated the pain that the exercise put me in, so I discontinued it. Bit by bit it got a little worse and a little worse. As treatment in my teen years I was taking asprin and as time went on I was soon taking naprosen with gold capsules, then as pain increased I was increased to indosin, with gold shots. As I got older there was more and more pain. I was put on methotrexate, which they gave cancer patients to treat cancer, this will give you an idea of the strength of this medication. Ibuprofen, which I was eventually taken off of because of side effects. Imuran and plagunel. I was taking all of this medication together not knowing what affect it would eventually have on my body, but not able to live without pain without it.
I graduated in 1988 but, not before I met the kindest man I've ever met in my life while going to youth group on Wednesday nights, at the Forks Assembly of God. We dated my senior year and one year after I graduated, we were married. In 1989, I switched to a doctor that comes from Seattle to Sequim so that I wouldn't have to travel so far for my treatments. He is the one that gave me the methotrexate as a new medication. This medicine has made me so miserable. It causes irritability which has made me very hard to live with at times and very sick to my stomach.
I HAVE BEEN PRAYED FOR BEFORE, BUT FOR REASONS I DO NOT KNOW, I WAS NOT DELIVERED FROM THE ARTHRITIS.
June 5th 1994 Sunday evening I came forward for prayer and healing. When Jerry prayed I felt like pure white milk was pouring through me and I was the glass. My faith was renewed and I felt like a new vessel in Christ. I went home and together my husband and I THREW OUT THE MEDICATION. WE FLUSHED IT DOWN THE DRAIN. I had some pain that remained so I came forward several times for prayer. Hallelujah! I have God on my side. I have yet to tell my doctor however but, he will hear my testimony. I was told I would have to slowly go out of the medication. But, I have proven him wrong.
Another thing I have been delivered of is terrible dreams of things chasing me.
After your prayer for me this fear of satan has gone away. I have had no more of these horrible dreams. My husband and I pray and read the Bible together every night now. God has truly blessed us.
