Therefore thus saith the LORD; Behold, against this family do I devise an evil, from which ye shall not remove your necks; neither shall ye go haughtily: for this time [is] evil.

The War is Over
Posted by: JG on Wednesday, April 09, 2003 - 06:13 AM
My Dear Friends:

For the last two weeks I have been at home. As much as I love to be in the battle field of Jesus I really felt the Lord saying stay home. I heard Him shouting Eze 22:30

EZE 22:30 And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none. Therefore have I poured out mine indignation upon them; I have consumed them with the fire of my wrath: their own way have I recompensed upon their heads, saith the Lord GOD.

I love the battle field the Lord has put me in. For the Last nine years we have seen so many victories, but how could I say no when I heard the Lord speak so clearly. My heart broke some of the evenings because of the pain and suffering I felt from Iraq. I rejoice because the Lord has lifted the burden from me. He has said the battle is over. For me it was like re-living VietNam all over again.

Who won? Who lost, that is for the Lord and historians to decide? This I know, we as the Christian body need to pray for peace. We need to pray that every Christian over there rise up in the Love that Jesus has for all people and show what we are all about.

There will be great shouts of joy during the next few weeks. But we must not rise up in pride. This battle was not ours but the Lords. And as with every battle we must give God the Glory. There will be many tears shed by mothers and fathers and sisters and brothers. There will be many women running to the door every night hopping to hear the footsteps or voice of a loved one who is missing.

We will find the horror of war very hard. The Lord has told me that there have been thousand who have lost there lives fighting in this war. The death toll is very great. The Lord also shared that the whole nation of Iraq will be questioning their god. Why did they lose? How come this happened? If we show the mercy and kindness Jesus saved us for we can touch a nation.

Will you join me in this time the Lord has set aside for this nation and believe we can make a difference with our prayers.

Thank You for being there for Jan and I.
