I started noticing that I was worth more than all the stuff I started doing

I ran away from home because my parents started to force me to go to church and because they didn't understand the life of a teenager........

Dear Jerry,
About the age of 13 my mother got saved and started getting involved in the stuff of God, going to church, prayer in the morning, and praying for her family that was not saved. My father did not accept this. He was going to be a Catholic for the rest of his life. I would see this and would go for my dad because I wanted things to be the same. Within a couple of months my father started to get involved and then this meant I had to go to church because my parents were so over-protective.
At the age of 14 I started to become rebellious and play the church game, being all down for God at church and when I was at school being a different person. During this time, I started to hang around the older girls from the church that were also playing the church game. I started to do the things they were doing -- drinking a lot and smoking. As I got older I started smoking marijuana and started hanging around gangsters. I was doing my own thing thinking that by doing these things I was still holy and still on my way to heaven. But by going to church this was giving me conviction, but I was not listening to this conviction, so I started getting worse. I ran away from home because my parents started to force me to go to church and because they didn't understand the life of a teenager.
All kinds of stuff started happening in my life. I started noticing that I was worth more than all the stuff I started doing.
I started getting involved in some Bible studies with Victory Outreach. I started falling in love with the things of God. I gave my life to God and since then God has been my best friend and has helped me through life.
God has blessed me with a husband that is down for God, and helps me with my everyday struggles.
