internet prophets?

Does anyone really believe in these internet prophets??

I was up the other day and came along a link and bored sent in a scenario of my marital problems to a site on what claimed to ba a free prophet.

I know the Lord could perform a miracle for you, and bring her back into your loving arms, but I don't think this is going to happen. I'm really sorry.

Lord, you are a friend who sticks closer to us than even a wife. I ask you to come and give Jonny hope of a better life -- and if his wife divorces him -- send him a good loving wife that will stick by his side even as close as you do, and be his friend forever. In Jesus name, Amen.

I don't really believe in these things and find what he wrote regarding a second wife very contradicting.

I dunno, the whole thing kind of bothers me now.

The ones I saw were charging money...so, no, I didn't trust them. I didn't know if their words would be trustworthy because they were not someone whose "propheices" I had a chance to test the spirits on. I would never just shoot off info to these people for a word from God because, how do we even iknow if they are truly born again? Or was I thinking of some dream interpreters I saw on line? But I wouldn't trust a dream interpreter for same reasons.

The thing is, don't be so desperate to hear from God you go to any source. Read the Bible. The best way to hear from God is to read His Word. It NEVER changes, therefore it is totally trustworthy. The Bible already says to let the unbelieving partner go, so that you can live in peace (not in the constant conflict of trying to get her back). This is said so that YOU can get on with finding peace in God, so you can emotionally heal by EMOTIONALLY letting her go. If she is determined to go, she will. And the sooner you allow God to begin the inner work of healing the better. You can still pray God will bring her back. But by hanging on emotionally so long, you are only causing yourself undue stress.

The thing all of us need to learn (in good marriage or bad, single, seperated or with someone) is that GOD IS THE ONLY PERSON WE CAN'T SURVIVE WITHOUT. There is no other. I hear people say "I don't know what I'd do without her/him." I would hope the answer would be: "Survive." There is NO person on this earth who is necessary to our survival. GOD ALONE IS WHO WE NEED TO SURVIVE. As the old song says, "Though none go with me, still I will follow." You have even talked of giving up your faith over this. Why? You can survive without a mate. It is GOD you can't survive without. So why do you treat your wife as though she is more important than God?
We are instructed to love the Lord our God with ALL our heart, soul, mind and strength. If you are that near giving up your faith over your wife, do you think this is really how you love God? We are to love our neighbor (wife) as ourselves. BUT GOD IS TO BE LOVED WITH ALL of us.

There is a scirpture that says "Be still and know that I am God," and that is what you need to do. Still yourself! Quit fretting over your wife. Still yourself and let God make Himself real to you.

Choosing a person over God doesn't seem that much different than those who worshipped wood or stone images. What really can that person do for you that God can't? It's time to get your focus on God and love him with EVERYTHING.

You hit a hot button here, and I could go on and on about the need to put God first above a person...so I had better close.
