Going Back In Time
One of my most common dreams is where I go back in time to a previous part of my life. The first thing I tried to figure out was who my girlfriend/fiance was at that point in my life and what her phone number was (seriously). When I dial it, the phone never works. The point I always take from it is I get a chance to do it over and get it right since none of those relationships ever lasted. The odd thing is, I have been married for 28 years to the woman who is perfect for me so I don't actually want to change that by rewriting history. Very odd.

Thanks, I tend to think it is also escapism. My life has been VERY tough lately with losing my job of 20 years followed by this horrible down spiral in my health that shows no sign of abating (I am going to the doctor next Tuesday for diagnostic tests but I had an AWFUL day yesterday).
I think we all look back and think there were places we could have gone down the other road and not ended up screwing things up or just being where we are...... I sometimes think maybe there is a twin me (doppelganger) somewhere living the life I dream of with no physical miseries and problems..... but I am here in reality.

Well, your not alone. I found out from my Doc., there is no "shot" for my shoulder that will work. It must be operated on, same with my knee also.
Hehe, well, I've seen alot of twins to others I know, so most likely theres one like me out there somewhere too. But I don't worry if another may be living better than I. I concentrate on living and growing in God for myself, and as God directs, sharing what He has taught me with others along the way. God Bless!!

I often dream of being younger and living a different place and life. In those dreams I am not just younger but fitter (than I ever actually was), able to run for long distances and not fat like I am now. It's as if at some point in my life I could have "turned off" and lived a whole different and better life that led to the opposite of what I have now (which is to say, I would be healthy and buff instead of falling apart).

Sorry to hear it. God be with you and your surgeon.

Don't be sorry my friend, I caused the problems by acting alot stronger and tougher than I really was in the past and so am paying for that now.
As for possibly living different now, if chose a different route before, I along with many others are in the same boat. We could be living in much better shape and healthier too if had chose differently in the past. God Bless!!

Well, thats a new one on me, but in truth, I just never expected or listened to warnings, I would end up that way. "Older and wiser" won out, even if didn't listen before hehe.
God Bless!!
