I need all of your prayers

Here's the deal: This group called Friend Finder just took $17.99 out of my bank account, and I would have overdrawn if family had not seen it and transferred money to me (we have connected bank accounts).

I have been doing research on line, looking for a phone number to call them. I found the number, but I was not able to call as it was 2 AM, and I was also nervous to call, since they already seemed privy to my info and I didn't want them getting more info on me.

Now, tonight, I was on to search for the phone number, as bank told me to call them first before trying to refute this, and I came across Ripoff Report dot com, which had a complaint from someone else who had this same site take money out of their account...and, same as me, they hadn't even signed up for it. They took a far bigger chunk out of that person's account. I am not seeing answers to the complaints on Ripoff Report, so I did not see a reply as to how he/she can "get my loot back."

Pray with me about this. I would like my money refunded, and I would like this group and others who steal money shut down. The Trade Commission is a government group who will invesitgate websites that get too many complaints of being shady. Others said, even though they were registerd, the service had quit working for them, and money continued to be taken out of their account. This is supposed to be a match making type site (it's a whole network of sites), but I wonder if that's a front for taking people's money.

My card was destroyed at the bank, and a new one will be here in 7 - 10 days. But pray for safety of my bank account, regardless. Pray the blood of Jesus covers it. I heard in a video I watched tonight that once various comapanies get your shipping info, you are history...if crooked, they can then keep taking money out of your account.

I can't figure out how this particular group would get my info...but various match making groups do email me. But how would they get my card number? Who that I registered my card number with would take money out of my account for the Friend Finder group? My sister says check the box that says not to remember my info...only, the guy working at the company can write it all down when he processes my order, so...HE can remember it whether the website does or not.

But how would this scam work? Who is out there harvesting info, including debit card numbers, to take money for Friend Finder? Clearly, I did not register on this site, as I would remember that...and I have never even heard of this site. So, is this coperation more in existence to take money from innocent people than to matachmake anyone? Perhaps, someone sitting in a house somewhere is just raking in money and not caring if anyone gets match made? I read a report on this site that said it was "cheesy" and really not too great a site for finding someone...and many various complaints were registerd about this particular site on the Ripoff Report site.

My other concern is that someone might be out there using my name and making up an entire identity about me...especially bad on an ungodly match making site. Saying I am one person when I'm really not anything at all tlike that. It seems you write a profile on yourself on these sites...and it could be very different from who I am. Then, if they come on me (the real me) they could say I am not the person I am saying I am.... Now, that I got rid of that card number, they can't pay from my account again if that is what happened...unless they have a way to access my info I am not thinking of.

After what I read tonight, I was more leaning toward Friend Finder is a rip off site and not so concerned with stealing my identity as with stealing my money.

However this stuaiton is, I need prayers, and I thank you for praying with me. I have to move soon, so the devil is trying to make me nervous that I am going to have more money stolen out of my account. Thank you for praying.

The fraud department at your bank will deal with this.
You need to call them and ask to speak to that department.
They will file reports, get your money back etc...
You have to ask for that area

I was talking to them (bank people) today...and they said what I have to do is file a note disputing that the amount was authorized to come out of my account...if after I talk to the comapny representative I am turned down for a refund.

In reading tonight, people said when you contact this company, they ask for your credit or debit card number!!! And they won't help you with your problem of either being charged for something you never signed up for or charged for a service you canceled (but they are still taking money out of your account) unless you give them your card number. Without action by me, as I did today, it sounds like money would have continued to come out of my account each month.

From all I read, this group is clearly fraudulant. Even if you have a membership, the profiles are fake and the people hardly reply to you and they hardly want to meet you and so on...as if it's all fake and there really is no membership...or a few people are acting as though there is, but it's all a scam to get your money. Many turned off their billing option, many cancled their account...and were STILL getting charged!

I will try to call them tomorrow (now today). I have no idea if they have Saturday hours, but maybe when I call, I can get a recorded message telling me the hours. My bank wants me to call them first. And, even if I don't get a refund, the more people putting pressure on them and complaining in the bank, the better. I want this group exposed and shut down.

Friend Finder is over a long list of match making websites including a Christian one. It would be great to see them out of business! I think they are far more interested in getting people's money than in getting people matched up.

I called Friend Finder, and the phone operator asked me which website I was registered with (there are 52) and I said none of them and I had never even heard of them...and right off he wants my card number! So I refused to give my card number...so then he says either fax the info or go to my bank and let them handle it...which I will do. I will write the letter of dispute now. I believe my bank is open until 1:00 today, so I could still go there. The Ripoff Report site says banks often are not helpful and one reason is because the people wait 60 days or more to report the problem. Well, I reported it same day, since I saw it at 2 AM. The bank is willing to dispute it with me. So, that is the next step. Pray for favor. I know that is not a lot of money, but the group is clearly doing this to many others and also and it's the principle of the deal...plus I want to make sure this group can not take any further money from my account. I thank you all for praying.

Father God, in the blood of JESUS, touch the manager at the bank branch JeriRose will go to. Anoint them with compassion, understanding and empathy dear Lord. Touch their heart that they will give JeriRose the proper information if they cannot help her. But if they are able to help her dear Lord, may they help her 120 folds. The bank took my letter of dispute and sent it with a form I signed. The bank will investigate as to whether I instigated the charge. Since I only had the exact amount to cover my bills, I know that I would not have gone and registered on a website at a cost of $17.99 a month...plus in all my research of these sites, the original membership is free...then, after browsing and wanting to contact someone, you upgrade and start to pay money. So, what's up with that? I have not been on any of their sites and done any browsing so as to be ready to upgrade. I haven't even registered on any such sites to begin browsing. So how'd they get my info...especially my card number?

I do pray I get the money back, but, further, I pray this network is seriously investigated. The main site indicates they have 30,300 sites, though!!! That's how these sites gets away with this stuff. It's too hard to close down all these sites. But if they can get to the head site...but then, there are sites headquarted in other countries, so how to eradicate each and every one?

Anyway, I'm just waiting to see what the bank says. I was told they always here back within ten days, so I will be watching the mail.

I praise the Lord for peace now that I have taken what acitons I could. It was rather alarming to see money whip out of my account...not by my own actions. I'll let it rest in God's hands.

Praying if I do get the courage to shop on line again, nothing like this happens.

Outfits like "Friend Finder" are interested in your "identity", thru the process of partnering with others, to automatically getting your personal info and getting your money from your acct. thru recieving your info. free from a partnered Site.

While thru legal means, they can collect your personal info as such, they cannot legally remove any funds from your accts thru such, without written authorization from you, which means you'd have to have filled out some "authorization page of thiers, giving them legal right to do so.

We pray you will work in this situation to answer JeriRose's seeking of help for restoring said funds and having these monetary pirates closed down and removed/banned from any internet operating. In Jesus Name- Amen!!
