I am just curious to know how many of you believe the End of the World is coming soon ? Alot of people seem to think the End is coming soon, there are just too many crazy things happening in the world !! Alot of people are coming to the Lord very quickly and that makes we wonder !! I know we will not know the hour, but we will have atleast a sense of something won't we !? I know I am saved so I am comfortable that way, but I want to have all my unsaved family and friends come to Heaven with me, it scares me to think the hour is fast approaching and they are not yet saved !!

Welcome to the "Lost Family Club!" I think it is normal to have that concern and yearning for unsaved family.

And I think Yes, the 2nd coming of Jesus is imminent!

Even so, Come Lord Jesus!

Father, You promised that our families would be saved because of our belief! In the Name of Jesus I ask that this promise be fulfilled soon! Thank You Father! Thank You, Jesus! Thank You Holy Spirit! AMEN!!!

Carol-
I just wanted to let you know, I am a new memeber, and I've always had faith in our Dear Lord. However, I hadn't come to him like I before. I believe that is why I was led here and bakc into church. I just wanted to tell you, that I have quoted your quote several times, since I've been praying again. Thank you, for putting perspective back into faith. Kimber

I agree that there are many signs of the Lord Jesus' return. I too, pray for each family member and friend, and lost soul that God guides them back to him. AMEN..

i don't know how much of it tis correct but I feel something there.

I know that I am probably typing to myself. But here goes anyway.
i was watching tv yesterday - Michael palin Pole to pole. He was in Russia. He said this plant is called Wormwood. Apparently they named Chernobyl after it. The same wormwood as in revelation, the one that causes the waters to be bitter.

it is not simply an end but a new beginning. New doors are opening. It is an awakening of the Heart. There will be great changes on this planet and in this country especially. Hold tight. It'll be a bumpy ride.

Yes, there are many signs that seem to indicate the return of Jesus is REAL soon. There are many good books on this topic, and you can find them at a local Christian bookstore. God bless!!!

INTER-BELIEVER MEMORANDUM

To: All Believers, Servants, Friends, Saints, Prophets, Apostles
Preachers, Teachers, Evangelists and Prayer Warriors

From: JC

Date: February 4, 2004

Subject: Return

Stop your grumbling! Stop your back-stabbing and rear end biting! Prepare yourselves. Time as you know it has run out!

I will be arriving soon. Sooner that you think. I've been dwelling on this for quite some time now (over 4,000 years since I made My promise to Noah). I'v had it! Enough is enough!

It's time for me to come back and take charge again. You knew it was coming, you just didn't know when.

You thought 9-11 was bad--that was merely a fireworks display! You thought Viet Nam was bad--that was just scout camp! Starvation in Rwanda in '89--just a missed meal! Aids--just a common cold! Typhoons, Hurricanes, Tornados and Earthquakes--just another rainy day and Monday. And you think they get you down...

You've got the Book. You know what to do. What are you waiting for--the movie? How many times must I remind you?

Always yours,

JC

PS. Share this with as many as you dare to!

Thank you for your post. The praise and glory goes to the Holy Spirit. Here's the scripture basis:

"While the earth remains, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, winter and summer, and day and night shall not cease." Genesis 8: 22 Note that the scripture says, ...while the earth remains... It does not say that the earth will remain forever!!!!!

"Now when the seven thunders uttered their voices, I was about to write; but I heard a voice from heaven saying to me, 'Seal up the things which the seven thunders uttered, and do not write them.'" Rev 10:4

This is one of the great mysteries. read on..."but in the days of the sounding of the seventh angel, when he is about to sound, the mystery of God would be finished, as He declared to His servants the prophets."
Revelation 10: 7

So what happens next? "Now I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away..." Rev: 21: 1

I thank God that all of us believers will be raptured prior to all the destruction...Alleluiah!

Yes, I too believe that we are living on the end of the "time line" of this earth. We are at the door of the beginning of the 7000th year of mankind. Although the 1000 years of peace sounds so sweet, getting there is not going to be nice. I dont believe that we'll be raptured before the great tribulation, so I am preparing for the worst scenario. If I am wrong, GREAT. What a joy that would be! But, I would rather be prepared for the worst. So, daily I get out my bible. I read. I watch the news. I look at websites. I talk to my Christian friends, I keep a watchful eye on the things happening.... and I see the end in this "generation". I'm scared, and rightfully so. I'm afraid for America.... I think this great country has lost it's greatness.... we've let our morals become so low that God must be discusted with us. I pray that he can see those who still love him with all their heart.

and why would i wish to be left behind? nonetheless, i don't see much biblical evidence suggesting a pre-tribulation rapture. it just doesn;t go along with how God has worked in the past. the Israelites were still in Egypt when the 10 plagues struck.Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego were cast in the fiery furnace. the God who created the universe and caused the Red Sea to part can protect his people from his Wrath.

i do believe that Jesus will return in our generation. even so MARANA THA! Matthew 24:32-34 says,
"Now learn the lesson from the fig tree: as soon as its twigs get tender and its leaves come out, you know that summer is near. Even so, when you see all these things, you know that it is near, right at the door. I tell you the truth, this generation will not pass away until all these things ave happened." some people, myself inckuded, believe that this might be refering also to the restoration of Israel and that is the generation which will see his return. and certainly all the signs mentioned are coming to pass before our very eyes, aside from the Abomination of Desolation and the signs that fall under "immediatly afte the distress of those days..." (verses 30-31 further my post-trib views)
(read also 2 Timothy 3)

most of my friends and family are unbelievers too but where there's life there's hope.

come guickly Lord!

Does anyone believe the End of the World will be in our generation?

In the various pilgrimages, retreats and seminars, I have been to these last 4 years, though the speakers whom were Catholic, spoke of an event/s happening in our lifetime. These speakers stated they have acquaintances of other faiths Jewish, Islam, various forms of Christianity, and as well these people shared the same thing, that something is Big on the horizon. Now what each believes on how, and in all humility it will differ on how it comes to pass, it will not be as we expect, but we know that God’s will be done. And if we are living the gospel messages, following the Commandments, we should not be afraid.

Here’s a concept that you may or may not agree with, on a future event/s happening through words from Jesus through interior locutions to his messenger. [*/******
The messages may seem harsh, and differ in theology, but you may agree that today's culture there seems to be a lost sense of God; it is because there is a lost a sense of sin? It resembles times of the Old Testament in many ways. Again you do not have to believe these words, but essentially the core message is one of Love and mercy, to call us to repentance and a change of heart in our whole life. Make God a priority in our lives, what better time to start.

I feel that Mel Gibson movie of The Passion, is another sign of the urgency of repentance.

Here are some examples of hot subjects.
What can I say about Abortion? It’s intrinsically evil. How do you feel about it?

Do we spend quiet time in daily prayer?

Do we vote for pro-life candidates?

Is Living in Sin is now ok?

What do you think about the whole debate about 10 Commandments being removed from government buildings?

Standing up for the sanctity of marriage, a sacred bond between 1 man and 1 woman. The family is Gods creation, His plan and Satan wants to destroy all that is of God.

Television has become Poisson to our soul, though there are 24/7 networks that evangelize the word of God.

I think all of these and many more reasons is why something will happen in our generation.

Those who are willing to walk the long and narrow journey to heaven are the ones who will be greatly rewarded. Do not fear persecution rather welcome it, for those who welcome persecution are truly the Lord’s disciples. For it is part of carrying our cross to stand up and speak the truth.

It amazes me how most people look past this scripture below when they talk about the end of the world so to be, because if we are to read in revelation 1-5 we see what will happen, the earth will still be here but the old things will pass away and all things will become new as we will read below so yes there will be an end to former things but the earth will still be here but it will be a new earth as God wants it..
Revelation: 1 Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. 2 I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. 3 And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, "Now the dwelling of God is with men, and he will live with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. 4 He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away."
5 He who was seated on the throne said, "I am making everything new!" Then he said, "Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true."

My husband is not saved either. its hard to realize one day he'll wake up or come home and realize i'm not here. i have thought about leaving him some kind of helpful info for him if this does happen. let him know what all is fixing to happen. maybe it would help in your situation. let them read it now. maybe that will open they're eyes some.

My pastor believes the Rapture will be mid-tribulation. It does say in 1 Thess. 5 that we are not appointed unto God's wrath, but the outpouring of His wrath does not actually begin until the half-way point of the Tribulation, so we MAY possibly be here for the first 3.5 years. The late, great singer, Keith Green had a saying: Pray for pre- but be prepared for post!!! Amen.

I can't tell you why, unless it's from God, that I believe that God's return is soon. How soon I don't know, but in my heart, days, years- not many years. I just feel that it could be any day now. I do feel like it will be in our generation. Any day now. My husband doesn't think it will be our generation, but he said of course he doesn't know that and I know noone knows. I just have this feeling, and I've had it for at least 2 yrs. now, that it won't be much longer. I could be wrong, but it's weird how I feel that inside.

I have thought about this subject alot, but I am not sure, that it will be in my generation. I remember as a child my grandmother, and my mother thought it would be in their generation. The world has always been ugly, I know there is lots of signs, but in past generations, their was also a lot of signs. I do know this, it will be in God's time.

My hope it will be soon!! I can hardly wait to meet Jesus.

Hello Ruth, You are right, it did appear that the end of the world would come during our parents and grandparents time. The Word of God makes very plain that the Lord does nothing without revealing His secrets to His servants, the prophets. Matthew 24 gives us a vivid picture of the time before the end leading up to Jesus's return. This is the generation that saw the budding of the fig tree and this is the generation that will witness the end. Now whether you and I are alive all depends on our destiny in Him. We are living in a wonderful time that is for sure and we are about to witness some great things come to past if we are alive. Hear ye, hear ye what the Spirit has to say to the Church. He will have a pure and spotless bride. Praise the Lord!

christiangirl, I don't spend a lot of time studying this topic. But seems like there's a verse about the Jews returning to their homeland which I understand is happening. But heard someone say recently that something is going to happen to cause a lot more to return to their homeland. Do you know about this aspect of the last days?

Yes, there are many signs in various groups of different religions all feel somthing is coming. End of the World? End times is the way I am hearing, since there is a difference.

Now is the time to spend more time in prayer and get ever closer to God to prepare for the times we are about to face and as well pray for our loved ones who do not know the Lord.

There are so many reasons why I believe these are the last days. For one thing I think it is a major miracle of our Father that the world hasn't been destroyed yet. Do we not have the capacity? Isn't there doomsday technology easiliy availabe out there? Are there not unstable, angry and discontented people wandering around the globe? The Bible states that if the Lord did not come back when He does that the whole world would be destroyed.

Don't wish to argue about it - it takes too long, gets no where, and there are scientists out there who can defend it better than I ever could - but I think this is a young earth, about 6000 years old to be precise. I think the Millennial 1000 years of Rest/Sabbath will represent the 7th day in the "1000 years is as a day" to the Lord concept. My best guess is that 2000 years from the time of the Crucifixtion, it will be time for Armaggedon.

I was in prayer yesterday morning reminiscing the recent number of unusual weather patterns we have seen lately around the world. Hurricanes, hailstorms, floods, typhoons, tsunamis, earthquakes, volcanoes, etc.

The Lord reminded me of this "memo" I sent out last year. I searched my house trying to find a hard copy of it, and my old files. I came up empty. This morning the Lord reminded me that I had posted this last year.

I am posting this again. Just as a reminder. For we do not know the day or the hour, only the heavenly Father, but we are to discern the times and step up our efforts for the "harvest".

God Bless all of you!

Israel is the key.

Did you hear that they have reformed the Sanhedrin (Court) after not having one for 1600 years?

They are searching the lineages to find a "David" in David's line to make the new King of Israel.

Yep. We are outta' here.

Exciting times we are in, to be sure! I spend a lot of my free time on the web, observing 'end times signs'...there are many sites which have commentary, and pull all sorts of news together. There are SO MANY signs of the Lord's soon appearing that it makes my head spin!

Other than the anti-christ being clearly revealed (which some think has already happened with the signing of the EU's European Neighborhood Policy plan), and the Temple being rebuilt, all the other signs are in place for Yahshua's return.

1.The Sanhedrin's renewal is a BIG one...preparing for sacrifices once more on the temple mount (all they need is a temple). They even have a pure red heifer!!!

2.The EU's military and economic strength- gaining is another sign. Also that they now can play a larger part in the peace proposal in the ME.

3.Several Jewish religious groups are saying that the messiah is alive, and ready to be revealed.(which means that Jews are getting ready to be deceived by the anti-christ)

4. Bizarre weather and calamities all around the world, including earthquakes, volcanos, meteorites, and the tsunami all point to biblical signs.

There are many more signs, but of a more subtle nature. Most include persecution of Christians around the world, and the loss of integrity in the USA...
Many many signs for us all to keep watch over, and to 'pray without ceasing'.
I'll provide links for these sites if anyone is interested!
(Can we give links on this website? PM me if we can't...)

Even if you believe that we will go through the tribulation... and you used Shadrach Meshach and Abedneg as an example..... then you should not be afraid! As they weren't burned nor did their clothing smell of smoke. The Lord has ordained every moment of our lives, and if you remain in Him there is nothing that you will not be equipped with His grace to endure. Let go of fear which is designed to distract you and just trust Him. Better yet ask Him to remove the fear and replace it with peace that comes from knowing that His plans for His own are good.

There will be an end to the Earth as we know it. In the last chapter of Revelation, it says that Earth will be destroyed, and God will make a new Heaven and a new Earth. I believe the Rapture will be very soon!!

LORD,save my brothers and sisters, nieces, nephews, all their children save us all FATHER.I ask in JESUS mighty name AMEN.

Rachel R- Huggybob46 is right. God's Word declares several things that cause confusion tho- God declares the world can pass away but His Word won't. He also declares will go on without end. Plus more. What I believe God is saying is, the world will not be totally destroyed, but that it will end as we know it and replaced by a new one after. "As we know it now" is the trigger part. Tho Christ will change the face of life during His 1,000 year reign on this old earth, it is still the "cursed" earth, tainted and contaminated. Thats why the eaternal existance will be on a totally new earth, in a new Heaven. All sinful taint will be removed. As your right, the signs of being in the "Last Days" are all around us. Thus, the "Rapture" will happen soon.

I heard on the radio a week or two ago that there is a man in New York who has a strain of AIDS that is totally resistant to all of the antibiotics known to man. I'm hoping this is just an isolated case, but it probably isn't, because the announcer on the radio said this man has had HUNDREDS of sexual partners over the past few years. One of many reasons men's hearts will be "failing them for fear".
