This is what someone wrote to me about a child who is 14 and was molested. I had told th kid to discuss this with his parents. And the person who responded to my topic said:I would have to disagree there on the subject of children and love. I think that only a child is capable of true, pure love with no strings attached. The ability to love like that wears off with the comming of ''adulthood'' ie lying, violence and the rest of it. Of course this doesnt mean that its ok to have sex with them.. Of course its not. In theory, It would be ok if they wanted it but then there''s the thing; they dont know about the reality of whats happening because they''re not ''adults'' yet and dont understand how bad their parttner''s intentions propably are, and therefore cant make that kind of
choice.

It is written:John 13:34 - A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.
It is also written:John 15:9 - As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love.
If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love.
John 15:13 - Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.
If laying down ones life for another is the greatest love then how can it no longer be pure if it is the greatest Love to a grown man, is a child capable of laying down his life for another just as a Son of God or a child of God? This proves your theory to be incorrect. As a grown man who loves God with all his heart, is he not capable of having pure and true love. If his love as a grown man abides in the love of Christ then it shall never die.
You must never underestimate the growing power of love within man by the Almighty power of Christ.
True and pure Love NEVER fades, but according to you it does, why?
Abide in the love of Christ and His love shall abide in you Forever.
If pure love fades then it is by the inspiration of wickedness, abide in the truth of God and His Love and teachings and it will grow stronger and stronger as you grow in Christ.

You can't say that about every child because as when I was a child I knew plenty of kids probably younger than 14 who had been molested when they where younger, and knew and understood exactly what the intentions of their molestors were, but were afraid of the consequences.
