Are you sick and tired of being sick and tired? Are you suffering physically? Do you find yourself standing in prayer lines or posting prayers for healing a LOT? Do you want to be strong and healthy, free of disease and sickness, able to do what the Lord asks of you?
The answer is in the Bible! God showed the Israelites what to eat and those who follow His advice have stayed very healthy. It's not something we need to do 'under the Law' because we aren't, but it's something we need to do because we want to keep our temple strong and healthy. Even more so today in this toxic world we live in. The past three years, God has lead me to down a path to natural Biblical healing. After 40-plus years of abusing myself with bad food, bad drink, bad lifestyle overall, I began a quest to renovate this temple which God moved into 10 years ago. I want to share a bit of what I’ve learned and maybe it’ll help you too.
Biblical Way to Health:
1. Drink half your body weight in pure [filtered or bottled] water daily. Add a slice of real lemon to help balance the ph in your system. Take a good fiber product. Waste which not eliminated in a timely manner [minimum once a day] is reabsorbed into our bodies! YUCKO! Toxic waste! If you’ve never cleansed your colon, you might consider doing that. It’s the foundation of health for your body. It’s good to get it cleaned of debris, parasites, toxins and such.
2. Eat mostly whole organic foods which God made for food. This means raw veggies, raw fruit, whole grains, raw nuts, beans, raw seeds, [hormone/antibiotic-free] animal protein [see Lev. & Deut. about which meats are “clean”], oils & eggs. If God created it for food, it is good, unless He said otherwise. All things ARE permissible, but not all are beneficial! [1 Cor. 10:23] Fresh veggie juicing is an excellent way to get lots of veggies down the hatch and it’s delicious too.
3. Do 30 minutes of some type of exercise every day and breath deeply. This can be walking, dancing, treadmills, jogging, swimming, etc.
4. Spend the same amount of time [or more] in prayer, Bible reading and worship every day.
5. Laugh often, be quick to forgive, don’t take offenses, be generous with your provisions. Negative emotions and thoughts are as damaging to our physical bodies as bad food.
6. Avoid or limit any food in cans, boxes, bags, processed, refined food or any product man has tampered with or altered. [Don’t scream, this is only the goal, you don’t have to change it all immediately unless you’re already seriously ill].7. Take a good multi-vitamin/mineral supplement and essential fatty acids [fish, coconut or olive oil] daily. Our soil is depleted of minerals today and as a result, so is our food.
8. If you’ve EVER taken an antibiotic, consider taking probiotics to replace the good bacteria in your gut. Antibiotics kill ALL the bacteria in your gut, the bad AND the good. The good bacteria which God put there helps fight disease and is vital to good health. Also consider taking anti-fungals [they kill viruses, bacteria and fungus] and garlic [fresh is best if you and your friends can stand it].
All these suggestions and recommendations are something I’ve tried to do for three years now. It’s a long process and I’m not perfect at it [or anything ELSE for that matter!] This is just to share a bit of what I’ve learned. If you’re not interested in doing this, then don’t. If you are interested, by all means go for it. If I can do this, anyone can. If you want more information, I’ve got TONS of it, just email me! God expects us to take good care of our bodies, His temple! He has provided all we need to live healthy while here. I believe it’s a matter of obedience to Him. Unhealthy people are always sick, always tired, always depressed or run down and die before their time.
God took a lot of time and detail in His Word to tell us how to eat to stay healthy. We don’t have to be a Pharisee about food, or be in bondage about it, but I believe He expects us to treat our bodies well and keep them healthy. Of course God divinely heals us, of course God answers our prayers for healing, of course healing is ours through the atonement. But why not live healthy in the first place? Why not keep our immune system in tiptop shape so our bodies can fight germs and bugs and such without cramming ourselves full of medicines? Is taking a handful of pills forever the way God desires us to live? I don’t believe so! WE need to be in charge of our OWN health. Ok, putting my pulpit away before I get too wound up!
I must add that all this is ONLY information I’ve learned over the last few years. I’m not a doctor, a nurse, a medic, an EMT, or anything of the sort. I’m only sharing what I’ve learned and what I do. What you do with the info is entirely up to you! I promise you, you’ll feel GREAT!
Blessed to be a blessing.
