Let us pray for our service men & women who are both here & abroad, making our world a better place for us all.

Father, we thank You this day of Thanksgiving for the US Army, Navy, Air Force and Marines. Father, thank you for the Reserves of each, and for the Coast Guard. Bless them all Lord God, and be with them & their families, Father. Place holy angels of protection all around them as they work toward the cause of freedom & liberty.

If there be any among them Lord who do not know You, or if they may have gone astray, we pray You bring them back into the fold and quicken their hearts for the hunger of Your Word, Lord God. Jesus Christ, our Lord and King, be ever present in their midst by the power of the Holy Spirit, order their steps as You would have them, that with each one they take, may it be courageous and true, that our lands all be made free from terror and tyrany.

Father, God Almighty, we give You the honor and glory. In the precious and powerful Everlasting Name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth we pray. Amen.

Philippians 4

5***Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand.

6***Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

Dear God I pray that you open blinded eyes and remove political deceit from your children.Through your Holy Spirit teach us that "making our world a better place for us all " can never be accomplished through hate and bloodshed for indeed as we are learning all over again in Iraq,hate begets hate.Through Holy Spirit anointed ministers God,teach your children that killing for the "cause of freedom and liberty" is an abomination toward you.Help us the learn the lesson that the early Christians had to learn through grief and sorrow.Jesus did not come to bring us political "freedom and liberty".The only freedom Jesus spoke of was the freedom granted through salvation and He very explictly warned that he who takes up the sword shall perish with the sword.Political liberty is a totally alien concept to Christianity.It has brought us kiddy porn,homosexual marriages and legalized murder of babies among many other "freedom" benefits.What Jesus taught is the liberty that love not hate gives our minds.He taught us to love our enemies,not kill them like rats.He taught us that if we do unto others as we would have them do unto us,not invade their country and murder them before they cross the ocean,we will have the only "freedom and liberty" Jesus ever showed any interest in - the freedom of eternal salvation and the liberty to live forever as a follower of the PRINCE OF PEACE.Blessed are the peace makers for they shall obtain peace serving our loving Father who created all of us,even our "enemies" who Jesus taught us to serve,bless and witness to with loving words,not machine gun bullets.

Lord I pray that there be peace in the world in the near future so that there will be no more wars and people do not have to die. Please protect our service people overseas and protect them from attacks and bombings so that no more people have to die. Please let there be an end to this and let people see that when there is destruction and death no one wins.

Dear Dr. Crosby,

I do not usually respond in this fashion, but I must on account of your reply to my posted prayer for our US military. You may have your own views about the war and about the use of force in Iraq. Whatever it is that you perceive my politics to be based on reading my prayer, you have verbally attacked me when you clearly do not even know me.

You have deemed my views as deceived, you have enlikened my politics (which you really do not know based only on my prayer for our troops) to the dregs of society.

Such scorching criticism indeed goes above and beyond any call you may think you've received from the Lord to in essence, place a counter-point to my prayer for the troops up on the prayer board.

Quite honestly, it sounds as though you are the priest praying in front of the crowd, going on and on about how thankful he is that he is not like the sinner over across the way. If I be the sinner, I am blessed to know that I am one and that God will continue to work on me.

The profile you have reveals you are a Christian counselor. Other posts you have placed seem very self-assured and advisory, and at least one is laced with condemnation for other Christians or people you think are not truly Christian.

I would ask that you kindly refrain from judging my prayers and my politics.

I've reviewed the message I wrote and I can not find a shred of politics in it nor any personal attacks on anyone.But I did think of another one of Jesus' teachings that is really relevant here.TURN THE OTHER CHEEK.I am certain that until Jesus returns to establish His dictatorship,that will ban political freedom for all,the only way peace will come to this world is if the armed forces start to practice Jesus' rules on love,forgiveness and peace rather than Satan's rules of hate,retaliation and violence.
