I read this book, HOW TO BE FREE FROM BITTERNESS by Jim Wilson.
I reccomend it to every Christian. He helps pinpoint what bittereness
is, which helps you recognize it in yourself. Once you realize you have
it, you have to see it as a great evil, a big sin. What the other person
did to you may be a sin, but your bittereness it, too. Instead of
focusing on "He/she did this to me," we must focus on what we did
wonrg--we grew bitter. They hold guilt before God for their sin;
leave them to God. Focus on our sin of bittereness. One time his wife
said somthing that made him mad, He said he prayed until he no longer
got up off his knees saying, "But it's her fault." Once he could get up
saying "The fault was totally mine." he knew he was free. To this day
he can't remember what she said, only how good he felt when he
could finally get up free of his bitterness.
Also, there is a great section on how to stop the generational
curse of bad faimily relationships.
You've got to read this book!
