Dearly beloved in Christ,

I am happy that the LORD has heard my prayer and granted my prayer requests giving me a good life partner. We have fixed the dates for engagement and marriage, but at this point only I am broken down.

Some time ago, the LORD promised me to set up a good business for me as well as the Lord has given me a good job. But I am never able to prosper in this job nor does it seems that the LORD is going to fulfill His promise of setting up a business for me. At present my financial crises is so terrible that I’m completely unable to commit myself to marry my would-be. I’m badly failing and things are becoming worse.

My day for engagement and marriage is coming nearer and all my circumstances and situations looks hopeless. I’m unable to face my situations any more. My failure will be a complete disgrace to me and to my parents in our society. Where shall I go if the LORD doesn’t helps?

If your prayers will not bring a miracle in my life I’ll probably die.

How are you? There is a scripture in Rev 21 that speaks about the tree of life - the leaves of the tree brings healing to the nations.
To walk in the center of God's will according to Ps 118:8 is that one must rather trust in God than in men, because people will dissapoint you. God is actually the only person that one can trust always. God knows your heart and your sircumstance - He will make a way for you if you surrender 100 percent and fully commit your life to knowing Him. Forget about what people think for once, you must find your character and person in Christ , not in the people around you eg. family, remember God is your provider! He loves you so much and wants you to have success according to Jer 29:11 and John 10:10, but do you?

Dear Eugene,
As I read the wonderful scriptures that have been posted for you and the replies I too agree with all of them. So many things must be considered. If this woman really loves you she would either wait for your finances to be better or she could marry you anyway and be supportive no matter what. As to your finances, well, I am not judging here either believe me, but we must ask ourselves if we have been a good steward of what has been given us or have we lived outside our means? I have done both. After living outside my means God taught me how to first tithe, save if even a couple dollars a week, and always pay debts off no matter how long it takes. I wouldnt worry so much about what society thinks as long as you are trying. Really, we answer to God first. What does God think of me, am i trying to serve Him and please Him with all I do?

Also, as to hearing from God, I too am in dire need of secure finances. I have two children and being recently divorced and no college education I am in a bit of a fix. I believe I too, like you, heard from God that He would teach me how to secure my future. But you know what my friend? I haven't really been keeping my knees to prayer and listening for His further instruction, plus I know we need to look at what we are good at, what interests us, what kind of business we are suited for. If you can answer some of those questions for yourself that is a start. God will bless what we put our hand to, I believe that. So right now you have a job, well praise God!! That job can keep you until you start a business or go to school to become the man God has intended for you to become. I will pray this for both of us Eugene.

Father God, we need so seek your face this day. Lord, we need your guidance in all areas of our lives. First Lord, help us to know you better each day, give us a love for you Lord that will be above all. Father, if we have grieved you with our unbelief or in any areas of our lives, forgive us and restore us. Show us your plan for us this day oh Lord, help us to become still before you so we will hear your voice plainly. We thank you ahead of time oh Lord for answered prayer. Lord, help us to learn from what ever state we are in you have not left us nor will you leave us forsaken. Teach us what we are to learn from the state we are now in. Teach us to trust you for all things Lord. Fill us each day with your Holy Spirit. Fill us with a hope and peace that comes only from you. Now, we in Jesus name, come against you satan for any and all attacks that you have placed on our lives. We break the strongholds that you have had us bound with. From this day forward we shall not look back but look to the future that the Lord would have for us. We look in total confidence that Father God will guide us, teach us, and provide for us. In Jesus's name. Amen.
