I want to praise God for some small blessings I've received from Him lately.
The day after Thanksgiving, I and two teen girls got up and got in a line by 4 a.m. This line was for $20 gift certificates for the first 500 people. These two teens aren't getting much in the material sense for Christmas, so I prayed that God would bless them with the certificates. The mall usually won't give them to anyone who doesn't look at least 18, but I prayed about it for a few days and even in line. The girls and I all got the certificates! I was more happy for them than I was for me! My boss at my temp job also helped me with a pair of contact for my daughter. I've not had the money to get her an eye exam, and she needs a stronger prescription. My boss happened to have a new pair of the same brand of soft lenses she uses and gave them to us! It was the next strongest prescription and they work perfectly. I'll be able to order through her until my job goes permanent. Another person at my job gave me a bigger cage for one of our guinea pigs. She knows I'm involved with the Humane Society, and the cage is a long-term loan. Yet another coworker gave me some food and hay after his guinea pig died! A couple weeks ago, my cat was ill, and yet another person came up with the medicine that made her well! They knew my finances are rather tight, and were able to help my cat out. The medicine worked a small miracle for her. Some people might think these are small things, but I know they are blessings from God and want to thank Him publically for them. Nothing fancy here, but needs have been met through the Lord. Amen! |
