i was wondering if anyone out there is concerned about this movie. There is a wizard in it who practices sorcery(which means witch craft). can anyone explain this to me, why this is such a ''good" movie?

I have seen both movies, I cannot say wether they are bad or not. Some say they are demonic, maybe they are. I don't know.

In the Lord of the Rings movies, there is clearly a GOOD side and an EVIL side and the GOOD side always wins. Evil things are done by evil people on the evil side, i.e., witchcraft, spells, curses, etc. Good things are done by good people on the good side, i.e., helping people, saving people, etc. The movie does not promote evil as good or good as evil. The lines are clearly shown, unlike Harry Potter movies and books, where any evil that gets you want you want is considered acceptable, or that some evil is good, etc., which is an unGodly thing and brings confusion and chaos.

That is the difference.

I researched and read all I could about the Rings books and movies and do allow my 14-year-old to see the movies and read the books. I've seen two of the movies myself. On the other hand, I never would allow any Harry Potter books or movies into my home.

You are SO RIGHT!! This world is full of these demons, and they are very powerful, and they are fighting for their lives, and their powers are real!! We KNOW that, but the world has moved away from that truth, UNTIL RECENTLY, our kids NEED to know this reality, because they are going to be STANDING AGAINST them and the occult and witches and THE WORKS!! that satan is unleashing in these last days IN HIS LASTDITCH ATTEMPT TO TAKE OUT THE YOUNG ONES THAT ARE COMING UP TO MAKE A STAND AGAINST HIM!!

THESE KIDS TODAY, NEED THE SORT OF LESSON J.R. TOLKEIN HAS SHOWN SO CLEARLY IN LORD OF THE RINGS, THAT THEY ARE REAL, AND POWERFUL, BUT THAT JESUS HAS OVERCOME!!

THEY NEED TO DISCERN BETWEEN THE TRUTH AND THE OBSCURE, INSIDIOUS LIES THAT THE MEDIA IS TEACHING THEM ABOUT THESE THINGS!! ENTER LORD OF THE RINGS, PREPARED BY GOD, I BELIEVE THRU A FAITHFUL SERVANT FOR SUCH A TIME AS THIS!!

This generation of kids are going to have to battle with these forces in the world, and in the spiritual realm IN PRAYER!! THEY NEED ALL THE KNOWLEDGE THAT J.R. TOLKEIN HAS PROVIDED THEM WITH TO STAND IN FAITH AND KNOW THAT TRUTH AND GOOD WILL WIN!!


OH FATHER GOD, BE WITH THIS GENERATION AS THEY GO THRU THE TRIALS THAT ARE COMING UPON US!! STRENGTHEN THEM IN THEIR KNOWEDGE OF TRUTH! USE THIS MESSAGE YOU HAVE SENT THRU YOUR SERVANT TO SHOW THEM THAT EVIL DEMONS ARE NOT SOMETHING TO PRETEND THEY DON'T EXIST BUT TO KNOW THEIR EVIL WAYS AND TO STAND IN FAITH AGAINST THEM!!

You know, there are christians which are 100% convinced that the Holy Spirit told them that Lord of the Rings is evil, other christians think it's okay cause there is also a "good" side in the movie.
Ask 2 christians and get 3 different opinions. Do whatever you want and simply decide for yourself, that's the solution.

Perhaps Frederik, AS CHRISTIANS, we should each ask the Holy Spirit to reveal what is best for us individually! After all, Jesus gave Him to us to lead us into ALL TRUTH!
