Decision

Folks,

Today is Jodi's birthday and I am so torn as to send a card or not to send a card. I have been asking for a sign of some type to be assured this IS what HE wants me to do regarding our marriage restoration. The devil is trying to plague my mind and show me that waiting isnt the answer as nothing seems to be "moving" in our marriage. I pray that God will not only show me the RIGHT path on this issue, but also HIS path for me in all areas of my life, I want to feel HIS pressence, KNOW HIS path for me (maritally, financially, career etc) I JUSt want to know HIS will and direction and be assured it IS from HIM. Please pray that HE will reveal HIMSELF to me in clear understanding, sometimes I get stuck on stupid and DON'T see what HE is showing me in my life.

Thanks and thanks and God's blessings to all who prayed in the vigil over the weekend and who continue to pray for our marriages.

PS I must add that during my hour of prayer in the vigil, I was overcome with so many distracting thoughts trying to sway my mind from focus. This is something that never happens when I pray normally

Hi Troy,
Go for it! Send a card, don't write too much, just wish her happy birthday, remind her she is in your prayers. Remember that you have no idea what the Lord is doing on her end. It is easy to get discouraged because we don't see anything in the flesh, but God is always working. He loves Jodi more than you, and will never give up. Don't ever give up, we have to keep praying until we see results! i am keeping up with praying over the names on the list, so you are still covered brother!

I guess I struggle for 2 reasons, in restoreministries its says to stop sending cards, emails etc. and I dont know (praying God will lead me in what to write.

I too seem to go overboard with e-mails, cards etc... Stop doing so, God knows you love her, and deep down she knows as well. I prat for your marriage restoration as it once was. You responded to one of my prayers for my wife's salvation, and I sincerely appreciate that. I'll kepp you in my prayers. Hang in there. Jeff

Thanks, I havent intitated any contact with her and have allowed her to "lead" , so I just struggle with the "special times" Anniversary, birthday and CHRISTmas....which all fall between 11/22 and 12/25. God is SO Awesome that he "picked" the perfect time to allow this trail for us. Thank you Lord for Your Infinite Wisdom and I pray and thank you for ALL you are Doing for Jeff

I just sent her a simple email wishing her a Happy birthday, GOd Blessings and telling her she was in my prayers

That was great. Just a simple Happy Birthday. She knows you care. You just have to lay low for a little while. It's like this. Love is a two way street. Sometimes on side has to close down for repairs, but it always opens back up for traffic, and it's usually a better road. Peace be with you my friend. JEFF
