I love animals especially cats. I could be wrong, but I was under the impression that in order to get into Heaven one must confess with their mouths and believe without a shadow of a doubt that our Lord and Saviour died the agonizing death that he did, and was resurrected on the third day and is seated in Heaven at the right hand of God, so that we won't ever taste death. An aminal cannot do that because, they don't have the capacity to do that. When an infant dies at birth, or a small child dies before the age of accountability, God welcomes them with open arms into his glorious kingdom. I am sure he does the same thing for animals. They are innocent, and I don't think an animal has the ability to sin even if they wanted to. I do know for a fact though that animals are, (because of their limitied brains, and inability to reason) are succeptable to demonic possession. I believe with my whole heart that God welcomes animals in Heaven with open arms! I hope when I go to Heaven, that He lets me play with all of them, except snakes, and bugs! LOL! I think they are yucky!

I am also an animal lover. In fact I am sitting here with one of my 2 cats laying curled up between my arms as I type this. I believe that animals are sometimes possessed too. I have seen this occur as well. However, I have also grown to believe (without biblical reference albeit) that animals know God with no doubt to His existance. I think it may be instinctive. They did not eat of the apple of the knowledge of good and evil. Mankind did. My grandfather always told me when I was growing up that animals were in heaven if they were loved by people. He said that love put a spark into animals and that is what carries their personality to heaven to be with us forever. (He grew up a farmer and didn't believe that animals slaughtered for food had such a spark.) I have kind of adopted this point of view myself. I am too lazy right now to look it up, but I think Jesus when referring to the flowers of the field not worrying about what to wear and the birds in the air not worrying what to eat and how God provides for them even though they are cast into the fire. That is how I differentiate in my mind that pets (animals especially loved by humans) somehow are changed. I know that now we see in the mirror darkly and someday all of this will become clear. I hope my dear cat Chauncy is up there climbing a tree and keeping an eye on my grandparents. |
