I am concerned about my soul. I don't want to live wrong and try to get as close to God as possible. I do want to know if I am truly saved or lost. I have come under much attack, but I am not sure if God is trying to tell me something, I am doing something wrong, or if it is a satanic attack. I have made mistakes and I would like to overcome my sins. Could I have this problem because I am not overcoming those sins. I have struggled and I am in need of answers.

What your asking is much debated, whether God punishes us for our sins in this world.Personally I believe that God's love and forgivenes s has prevented Him from doing that up until this moment in history.Punishment will start during the period of tribulation which unfortunately could start any day now.People who wallow in sin frequently find themselves in trouble just because of the behavior the anti-Christian behavior creates. This works even on a national basis. For instance,Jesus taught his disciples and they in turn required all the early Christians to share their income equally so that no one would profit at someone else's expense.Yet greed took over are nation and now we have a master/slave economic system which creates tremendous economic poverty to say nothing of strife and crime. The way out of your/our problems of course is to conform to Jesus' teachingsOn a personal level,it's important to join a small bible study group at a Holy Spirit filled church, and most importantly, find an accountability partner in your church who will monitor your behavior and through daily conversations, help you to pull away from sin.On a national level we of course have to stop supporting politicians who take false pride in violating Jesus' teachings.Particularly at this time of the year,we should tell our political leaders that "love your enemies" does not allow us to murder and maim them.Is it any wonder that this nation has become so sin-ridden when it's leaders have for so long openly rejected God's teachings?Wouldn't it be terrific if our leaders allowed the name of Jesus to be mentioned publically in our schools at least for his birthday?I guess that's asking too much.Let's make up for it by worshiping Jesus on His birthday instead of our Christmas trees.Have a holy non-materialistic and sin-free Christmas!
