Thank you for those of you who have prayed for Rick in the past. As you may or may not know, Rick has a drug problem. He also confided in a friend who just told me that Rick has cancer. The doctor said it isn't operable. He is a christian who is way out of fellowship. At the age of 15 he was called to the ministry. He doesn't even attend church anymore. He feels ashamed of his life sins and knows God wants him to confess and come back into grace. He is dealing with this and what he has done and is having a hard time with it all. I asked him last week what his dream was and he said to have my own church. Deep down he cares and wants to change but, finding out that he believes he is dieing has kept him at bay. One would think it would turn one around. When drugs are involved, it isn't that easy. A miracle needs to take place here. Two days ago, he abused me. Never before have I seen this anger in him. He choked me and threw me to the ground twice. He bruised me badly and hurt me deeply. He said he hates all women and it is because his mother left his dad after 30 years of marriage. He hasn't got over the pain. He really does love me and now is dealing with the guilt of his actions. It really stems from the drugs. He isn't an abusive man. I asked his mother if he has a history of violence and she said no. He doesn't hit women. Something evil came over him and he just went sideways! He tells me all the time I am too good for him. Perhaps this was his way of ending our relationship. I don't know. I do know how deeply he loves me and how deeply he hurts. His family is having me out today for Christmas. They love me as well and would like to see us get married. Rick fears intimatcy and also abandonment. When he feels he is getting to close he retreats. When he feels he is loosing me he can't see me enough. Pray for spiritual healing in this man. The cancer and drugs will go away once he has returned to God. I had a vision of him one night. He was before a group of people preaching. He was so happy! Perhaps this year he will come to grips with things and his dream may begin to manifest. Send Rick your heart felt prayers for spiritual healing and return to God. We all love Rick so very much. However God loves him even more. I do believe it was the Lord who brought us together. I knew this from the very beginning. There is a need for healing in our relationship as well. I truely believe if he will be healed in spirit, everything else will fall into place. I asked him to ask God to give him a change of heart. Send out your heart felt prayers and let me come back to you with the good news of the miracle of a renewed spirit. I can't wait to tell you all when it comes to pass. Merry Christmas to all of you brothers and sisters in Christ. Thank you for your prayers!

Dear Buttonnose:

I am going to pray for you, but I feel lead of the Lord to tell you something first. Don't try to be Rick's savior. God is permitting some things in Rick's life to bring him subject to HIS authority. Those who run from the call will be dealt with. I know you are emotionally entangled with this man, but God is not pleased with someone who will physically harm you. I pray for your protection, and the wisdom of God to be in operation in your life.

Let's pray, Father we thank you for this young lady's committment to you. We ask that you will watch over her and comfort her heart. We pray that you will order her footsteps and that steps will be steady and sure in you.

Father we lift up Rick to you. Lord you know what you are allowing to happen in his life. We just ask you to help him learn whatever lesson it is that he needs to learn so that he can receive the good from you. We thank you LOrd, for sending strong laborers across his path that can impart the truth of your word in him. Help him to come to know you in a deep and permanent way. CAuse him to rise up in you, Oh Lord. Give him the desire to serve you all the days of his life.

In Jesus name, Amen.

Be blessed.
