I come to You Lord, with the people of Bam, for that little girl searching thru the rubble for her mummy, for that little boy, screaming out for his daddy, for the lost brothers and sisters, the missing mums, dads, grandpas and grandmas, aunties and uncles, neighbours, friends,. colleagues, oh Lord for all of the people of Bam searching hopelessly for the lost. What can i possibly pray Lord, to even try to ease their pain and torment? Only You can see the stark reality of this tragedy...how many precious people have died, how many are lost, how many are missing, how many are wounded and lying trapped somewhere... Lord i ask You to find those that are trapped, lead the rescuers to them, lead the rescue dogs to them, and bring them out alive. Bring believers to the scenes of devastation, so that they can tell these desperate people that there is a God who cares, there is a God who loves them. Lord, Lord, come in their hour of need....reveal Yourself to these people, and help us, who live in safety, to stand with them, so that we can look into Your eyes on Judgment Day, knowing that we stood with them....oh Lord, all we can do is pray, that You will do something to bring a glimmer of light into their desperate lives. Hold them, Lord, caress them, and love them. Bring support, and food, water, and blankets, clothing, shelter, medicine, bring help to them....show them that You are the God we know You are....Lord have mercy on them In Jesus name. Amen. |
