'When the seventh month came and the Israelites had settled in their towns, all the people assembled as one man in the square before the Water Gate. They told Ezra the scribe to bring out the Book of the Law of Moses, which the LORD had commanded for Israel.
So on the first day of the seventh month Ezra the priest brought the Law before the assembly, which was made up of men and women and all who were ABLE to understand. He read it aloud from day-break till noon as he faced the square before the Water Gate in the PRESENCE of the men, women and others who could understand. And all the people listened attentively to the Book of the Law.
Ezra the scribe stood on a high wooden platform built for the occasion. Beside him on his right stood Mattithiah, Shema, Anaiah, Uriah, Hilkiah and Maasseiah; and on his left were Pedaiah, Mishael, Maikijah, Hashum, Hashbaddanah, Zechariah and Meshullam.
Ezra opened the book. All the people could see him because he was standing above them; and as he opened it, the people all stood up. Ezra praised the LORD, the great God; and all the people lifted their hands and responded, "Amen! Amen!" Then they bowed down and worshiped the LORD with their faces to the ground.
The Levites-Jeshua, Bani, Sherebiah, Jamin, Akkub, Shabbethai, Hodiah, Maaseiah, Kelita, Azariah, Jozabad, Hanan and Pelaiah-instructed the people in the Law while the people were standing there. They read from the Book of the Law of God, making it clear and giving the meaning so that the people could understand what was being read.
Then Nehemiah the governor, Ezra the priest and scribe, and the Levites who were instructing the people said to them all, "This day is sacred to the LORD your God. Do not mourn or weep." For all the people had been weeping as they listened to the words of the Law.
Nehemiah said, "Go and enjoy choice food and sweet drinks, and send some to those who have nothing prepared. This day is sacred to our Lord. Do not gri*E*V*E*, for the joy of the LORD is your *S*T*R*E*N*G*T*H*."
The Levites calmed all the people, saying, "Be still, for this is a sacred day. Do not grieve."
Then all the people went away to eat and drink, to send portions of food and to celebrate with great joy, because they now understood the words that had been made known to them.
On the second day of the month, the heads of all the families, along with the priests and the Levites, gathered around Ezra the scribe to give attention to the words of the Law. They found written in the Law, which the LORD had commanded through Moses, that the Israelites were to live in booths during the feast of the seventh month and that they should proclaim this word and spread it throughout their towns and in Jerusalem: "Go out into the hill country and bring back branches from olive and wild olive trees, and from myrtles, palms and shade trees, to make booths"-AS IT IS WRITTEN.
So the people went out and brought back branches and built themselves booths on their own roofs, in their courtyards, in the courts of the house of God and in the square by the Water Gate and the one by the Gate of Ephraim. The WHOLE COMMUNITY that had RETURNED from exile built booths and lived in them. From the days of Joshua son of Nun until that day, the Israelites had not celebrated it like this. And their joy was very great.
Day after day, from the first day to the last, Ezra read from the Book of the law of God. They celebrated the feast for seven days, and on the eighth day, in accordance with the regulations, there was an assembly.'

Jesus said "But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own. Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you..."
Amen.

OPEN THE GATE
Open the gate,
Open the gate
To your heart,
Says the Lord.
I want to bring the flowers
In the spring,
After the long
Winters night.
You hold the keys
To unlock the gate
I will bring the fragrance
Of My presence
Only unlock your heart
And open the gate
I want to come in
And bring My love.

I'll Take You Home Again Kathleen
(words & music by Westendorf)...sung by Elvis Aaron Presley
I'll take you home again Kathleen
Across the ocean wild and wide
To where your heart has ever been
Since first you were my bonny bride
The roses all have left your cheek
I watch them fade away and die
Your voice is soft when ere you speak
And tears bedim your lovely eyes
Oh, I will take you home Kathleen
To where your heart shall feel no pain
And when the fields are soft and green
I will take you to your home Kathleen
Please hold me tight dear Jesus, the night has been so long. Take this broken heart and do with it what you will. I'm all yours. Amen
Jeremiah 29:11-13~ For i know the thoughts that i think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil to give you an expected end. vs.12- Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and i will hearken unto you. vs.13- And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all of your heart.~kjv

We're tucked safe under the wings of the Almighty, The King of Kings and LORD of Lords. The jailhouse rocks because the captives have been set free through the blood of Jesus, the lame are walking even unto dancing.....ah, is that a hawaiian wedding song I hear? Why,..well for goodness sake, that sounds just like Shep, it is, it is Shep; here he comes, bounding across the field in the sunshine, he's barking and leaping for joy, just like Lassie, and Lucy. Amen. Here's to running through fields of gold Elvis. I pray you there in heavenly peace through Jesus.
