ROGER FROM THE JUNGLES SENDS UPDATES AND REQUESTS
THXS-(Berita dalam bahasa Indonesia dibawah.)

SOME GREAT NEWS! SOME SERIOUS PROBLEMS! PRAYER REALLY NEEDED!!!

WARNING! We've had some serious email problems with our server! Many emails
were being returned, and NEVER received by us. We are making some changes,
but you can, and SHOULD, use our permanent email address: RDorio**ufm***** for
all important email.

Summary of May 11 news and prayer requests:

1) LULANAT AND KOSARE TRIBE EVANGELISM. Lulanat expected further operation
declared no longer necessary by doctor. Healing has taken place and a problem
area has closed up by itself. (Certainly with a little help from the Lord!
Praise Him!!!!) The Nalja church has selected four additional evangelists for
the Kosare tribal area, to assist Tadeus and Lulanat. Kosare people live in
about six different villages.

2) MTT SEMINAR STARTS MONDAY. The national translators' seminar starts in a
couple days. Pray for the teaching, exercises, and practice translation. 60
people expected from 30 different Papuan language groups!

3) ROGER'S TRIP TO NALCA. The three day Nalja trip went well. (He did NOT
travel on a major river this time!) Good graduation service for the 40
couples graduating. Some good opportunities to give some counsel to church
and Bible school leaders. ... Still some danger of a breakout of additional
fighting with bows and arrows between several villages. Pray for a good
resolution to the conflict without further fighting.

4) UPCOMING ACTIVITIES AND PLANS. Linda's visa in hand. Finishing classes at
Moody, to leave May 18. Pray for our scheduling of medical appointments in
Jakarta, and setting up speaking opportunities in Indonesian churches on our
June trip when we plan to visit Jonathan in Sumatra.

Pray for opening up of additional opportunities for our national translation
team to speak in churches in Java, encouraging Indonesian Christians to be
more involved in praying and financially supporting needy ministries in
Papua, particularly Bible translation projects.

5) MISC. Daniel received the Outstanding Computer Student Award tonight at
Hillcrest International School's awards night. ... Abner had a serious
accident with our older motor bike. He had four stitches, and major s****es
and bruises. Brian needs to get a satisfactory grade in one class he is
finishing in the next couple weeks, to officially graduate from Grace
University.

SO MANY OPPORTUNITIES!!! We've been able to do more than ever before in
significant ministries, helping reach many tribes, through YOUR prayers and
gifts, as the Lord has enabled us and you together! Pray that funds will
continue to be provided for the various needs. We are quite tight on funds at
the moment, both on personal funds and work funds.

ADDITIONAL DETAILS, a little in Indonesian, then English:

(Untuk orang yang mau bahasa Indonesia: [For those who want Indonesian:]
Tidak lama lagi, kami mau mulai kirim berita dan bahan doa lebih banyak dalam
bahasa Indonesia, tapi sekarang sedikit saja. Tapi tolong doakan seminar
Terima kasih atas doa!)

1) Lulanat and Kosare tribe

Expected additional operation(s) for Lulanat not needed, according to doctor
at latest examination. Praise the Lord for this, and that we will not have
the additional expense of a trip to another hospital farther away. Expenses
are already almost more than we can handle. We are excited that the Nalja
church has selected additional evangelists for work in Kosare tribe. Pray for
real spiritual openness there!

2) This national translators' (MTT) seminar could result in a great spiritual
impetus in many tribes as they get some of God's Word. Some attendees will be
from tribes where evangelical groups have not yet worked, and may not even be
believers yet. Pray for God's working in their hearts to bring them to
Himself soon!

3) Nalca trip

Bible school graduation went well. Pray that all 40 graduates will seek and
follow the Lord's leading as to where they minister. Some will serve in their
own home churches, some in other churches, some in other ministries. There
are now 45 churches in the Nalja area, all carrying on their own services and
ministries. The Jesus film shown in several areas in November resulted in
some formerly very unreceptive people coming to the Lord and being baptized
recently.

No obvious breakthrough in the animosity between several villages. Still some
danger of renewed fighting with their bows and errors. Pray for resolution of
real or perceived wrongs, and for Christian attitudes and actions to prevail.

4) Upcoming activities and plans Linda has received a visa to come and visit.
She may be bringing a laptop computer and typewriter or two for some of the
tribal people. If you contacted her with news that you have a used portable
typewriter sitting around that you could donate, and received your email
back, please contact her again immediately: sourgreen8******.com;
312-329-2758; 240-601-2746. Pray for her in finishing up her classes and that
she will have sufficient funds for miscellaneous expenses before leaving May
18.

Our tickets are booked for going to Bali, Jakarta, Sumatra, and Manokwari
June 4 to July 4. Pray for scheduling of medical appointments in Jakarta,
some speaking opportunities in Indonesian churches, and good arrangements for
our visit with Jonathan and Rachel in Bandar Lampung, Sumatra.

Pray for additional opportunities for our national translation team to speak
in churches in Java, encouraging Indonesian Christian to be more involved in
praying and financially supporting needy ministries in Papua, particularly
Bible translation projects.

We are excited that we ARE getting additional contacts with Indonesian
Christians, both in the States and in Indonesia. We praise the Lord that many
have a real burden for the Lord's work here in their own country - as well as
a vision for the world! Pray that the Lord will enable many of them to
continue to pray faithfully, and support financially as He provides, the
projects that He leads them to be involved in.

5) Misc. Tonight was awards night at Hillcrest International School. Daniel
won the top Computer class student award. ... Abner had a fairly bad accident
with our older motor bike that he and Martinus use for running errands and
doing business for us. He had four stitches under his nose, and some bad
s****es and bruises on arms and legs. The bike needed some major repairs,
which we were able to get taken care of quickly. ... Pray for Brian as he
concludes his class to officially finish his studies at Grace University in
Omaha.

Thanks         for    your   prayers!
Terima kasih   atas            doa!

Yours in Christ,

Roger and Suzanne

6:-    CONRADS FRIEND ROX SENDS UPDATE AND REQUESTS 4 MR AND MRS. D.-THXS-Hi
Conrad!

Here's an update on Mr. D:

My former sister-in-law was over today. She told me that Mr. D. (her
grandfather) who I requested prayer for a little while back, is still not
doing well. In fact, he seems to be doing even worse than before. They moved
him back into the hospital after putting him in a home, because every time he
tried to stand, his blood pressure dropped and when he sits up it rises,
also, he became dizzy.
He told his wife Nan, that he doesn't think he will get well, and it seems
that he's given up all the way.
Please continue to keep them both, and the whole family in prayer during
this time. only God knows what's ahead and only He can change any situation!
 Thank You Prayers Warriors!

God Bless!!!
     Your Sister in Christ,
                   Rox

Grant FAVOR in every situation!!!  Thank You for showing favor by breaking up the storms.  Grant travling mercies to Conrad and Pat.  Heal Dottie's Mom.

BUT AMONG THE UPRIGHT THERE IS FAVOR.  (Proverbs 14:9b).

Lord, I pray favor on all of Roger's missionary undertakings.  Bless the work in Indonesia.  I pray for peace between tribes in Paupa.  (Lord, I was not clear where the tribes were, but YOU know.)  Please let Your Word penetrate these villages.  As lives are changed, let peace exist between these people.  Put Your blood over Roger and others working among Indonesian's, so they are protected admist the tribal conflict.  Enlarge the work and send many to pray and help.
Keep all involved in Your favor, Lord!  In Jesus name, amen!
