Hello everyone.
My name is Gina. I am a single mother of 3 young children. I just wanted to ask for prayers for myself. I am new to this site, but am looking for comfort. I am a Christian who feels a little misplaced. Life is not really bad for me....only a struggle from day to day. However, I am missing something that makes me feel worthwhile. I don't know if that is my lack of my dream of being a singer being fullfilled or just plain lonliness. My oldest child is 13, so dealing with the teen years is a challenge. I feel that if I found my purpose in life and was happy with myself or felt like my life was meaningful, I would be happier and my children would be happier.
I'm asking for prayers so that God will send me his guidance as to where my life is really going....because all I feel like I am is a mother....and nothing else. Sometimes, I don't even feel like I do that very well.
Prayers and comments are always welcome.
Thanks for reading.

Hello Gina,

Raising three children is a huge task, but God must have confidence that He's made you more than able for the task

I understand the desire to find your life purpose, and when each day goes by with no significant change, it's easy to feel down. Loneliness is an especially hard thing to deal with, possibly one of the poopiest things that Satan uses to stop us experiencing God's joy.

Right now you're in the waiting room, that place where God keeps us until He develops whatever we need to take us to the next place. When we're in the waiting room, it seems the best thing to do is to ask God to show us what needs changing. In this area, I've found God to be very, very responsive. He's faithful and will show us what we need to do. Sometimes it's just developing patience, and that's a really hard thing to do, but it has it's benefits. "For you have need of endurance, so that after you have done the will of God, you may receive the promise" Hebrews 10:36.

He has a whole bunch of wonderful stuff just waiting for you, and He will bring it to pass. You're not just a mother, you're a unique creation with special gifts that only you bring to the world. I'll pray for God to show you what needs work, and to place His desires in your heart so that you have a sense of purpose.

Be blessed.
