Wes at the age of 13 was a very active athlete he was in a bicycle accident 1 week to the day before his mother passed where he broke his neck in 3 places and was unable to attend his mother's funeral.
Both of these kids were in the "Popular" group and when this group got into drugs and alcohol, she walked away and when she did that ened their friendship. Wes with many of these kids turned to drugs(marijuana and cocaine and alcohol). She is very negative on the Popular crowd and the things the stand for. My daughter feels quilty that she cannot save him and that if she had been with him that day he would not have had the accident. They don't even talk now and they were so close you would have thought they were related. He said he knows she doesn't approve of his life now and he doesn't want to hurt her. Please pray for their friendship to return and for both to heal. Next a 22 yr old girl whom Jillian has known all her life knew she was dying from cystic fibrosis and she planned her own funeral, coffin, who would speak, songs, flowers, colors, even did a Power Point Presentation of her life to be viewed by her friends. Jillian thinks she was the bravest person she ever met. Jillian and her sister Kari were in a car accidnet which totaled the van and looking at it we don't know how Jillian got out alive with a few s****es and bruises. She said she should have died but that like in the movie "Left Behind" God only takes good people for Angels and she wasn't good enough to get into heaven. Imagine this coming from someone at 14. She asked for a Believers Baptism with total submerssion, thinking next time. (no she is not suicidal) shee really believes she is not good enough in God's eyes. Last year Jillian was diagnosed with Raynauds syndrome and has problems with the circulation in her fingers. Dr. says it could stay this way or lead to a life threatning illiness as they have little research on this disease, of course Jillian thinks she might die young as the 22 yr old or Wes's mom did. Remember she is a teenager. STRESS! Jillian plays AAU Basketball on a Varsity College Exposure team and didn't make varsity at her High School. She gave up travel softball and travel soccer for basketball. she does sports specific training. She says she doesn't want to give up basketball but she no longer tries to impress the coach as before she is so discouraged with the politics. She has lost all her confidence. for months she kept her distance from friends and went into depression. She went to counseling and says she can talk all she wants but they can't help her. this is a girl who has always been very positive but has had a lot to deal with in a short time and so young. She is not the optimistic girl she once was. Please pray for her in Jesus name. Thank you |
