Adam and Eve were the only humans, right ?
They had 2 sons. Cain and Abel.
Cain kills Abel and later Cain lays with his wife, and she became pregnant and gave birth to Enoch. Which wife ????
At this time only 3 humans were on the whole planet. Cain,Adam and Eve. Did Cain fertilize his own mother or what ?? Man, this is so illogical it makes no sense. And when the whole mankind originates from Adam and Eve then everybody did incest cause they were all brothers and sisters.
This is so illogical I cannot believe it....

This is perhaps the most common question asked by sceptics of the Bible

Some people think this is one of the  "hard questions" pertaining to the Bible. Because the Bible does not always address certain questions or issues in black and white, many fault the Bible as being incomplete, inconsequential, or full of mistakes. I have found however, the Bible almost always answers itself somewhere within its pages. The answer to this question really is quite simple, and the answer can be found from the text of the Bible in Genesis, Chapters 4-5.

First, let's lay some groundwork.
In those days of human history, humans lived to be very old.
Most lived between 500 and 1000 years old.
Adam lived 930 years and Eve probably lived about the same amount of time.
Because they lived as long as they did,
they had many other children aside from Cain
, Abel and Seth.

After all, God had commanded them to "be fruitful and increase in number..." (Genesis 1:28). The Bible even tells us plainly in Genesis 5:4: "(Adam) had other sons and daughters." These other children would have settled in various parts of that region. As there was no one else for them to marry, they had to marry each other to propagate the human race. This intermarriage would have been permissible by God back then since there were no other people on earth.

Now back to the original question:
Who was Cain's wife?
In Genesis 4:14, after Cain murders Abel,

he says to God "WHOSOEVER  finds me will kill me."
Don't you see, by that time, there were already many other people living on the earth.

After he murdered Abel, Cain left and went to live in the land of Nod, east of Eden (Genesis 4:16). It appears that it was there that he married a wife--who may have been either a sister or another relative.

GEN 4:16    ¶ And Cain went out from the presence of the LORD, and dwelt in the land of Nod, on the east of Eden. 4:17    And Cain knew his wife; and she conceived, and bare Enoch: and he builded a city, and called the name of the city, after the name of his son, Enoch.

It does not say how old Cain was when he married.
Genesis ch 5 v 4 says “And the days of Adam after he had begotten Seth were eight hundred years: and he (Adam) begat sons and daughters.”

Facts:
We know
1:  Adam was alive
2:  Eve was alive
3:  Able was dead
4:  Cain was alive
5:  Many more people were alive  Gen 5:4  Adam had sons and daughters.
6:  Cain was afraid of people who were alive and would kill him
7:  People lived in Nod, Cain married someone there

We don't know:
1:  How old Cain was
2:  How old Able was when he died
3:  How many brothers and sisters they had
4:  Where they had moved to.

But we do know there was enough people to buid a city.
We do know they would have killed Cain.

So you see the question is simple.

Thanks Jerry.
Maybe one day I'll be as wise as you, but right now there are many questions which I have no answer to and this drives me nuts.
I always have to seek advice cause I cannot answer questions about the bible on my own.

Thanks Jerry, that question was one that I wanted to know also!

Now another question, where could Frederik and I get a good bible study, so we could learn more of our Wonderful Lord?. I'm tired of not having answers!
Thanks,
Your Sister in Christ,
Marni
