I need prayer to get through the next two weeks, my husband's children (12 & 8) are coming to stay with us from interstate. He has not seen them for a year and we are on the verge of breaking up. I would like to stay strong and make his children welcome and happy, but am worried that they will see the strain and I will not be able to provide that for them. When they leave, I am determined to leave too. Thank you.

God, please help this woman to be a great example of You in those children's lives. Lord, let her heart be filled with joy at spending time with them, and let it be a wonderful experience for all involved. God, I don't know what the problems are in the marriage, but I know that there's nothing you can't fix. Please provide healing and support, and wisdom at this time. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Lord, we come before Your throne of grace in this tremendously desperate time of need. Lord, please make Your Presence, peace and love known and tangible in this home and in the up and coming visit. Provide in every way where there is a need. What is impossible with man, Lord, is possible with You. So please evidence Your presence in this home.

I am being strong (praise Jesus and thanks to your prayers) and the children seem happy to be here. They are here for only two weeks, and with God's help I know that they will feel wanted and loved. I pray that their father will recognise what he needs to contribute to his children's lives.

It is never too late for a miracle.
Heavenly Father, may Your will be done in this family.

Thank you for your prayers. I have managed to cope even with a horrible flu and coughing non stop. My husband said it was very convenient for me to fall ill at this time... Lord help me. (Lord works in mysterious ways, maybe me being ill forced him to spend more time with his children).

Actually, his daughter (who is 12) surprised me... her father was angry (what's new) at them and yelling, saying that it was me telling him they were misbahaving. She stopped him and said "Dad, D wants you to talk to us - not to yell at us". I couldn't believe it, this little girl actually can see what is happening and she defended me, and he was stopped in his tracks! I cried, thank you Lord.

Look after these children, they are innocent, and Lord I give their father to you totally, I cannot help this man, only you can. I also lift his mother to you, soften her heart, why is she so cold Lord?
