I pray and thank you for the wisdom you are giving this person and that you are working in him already by giving him this desire. We ask that you give him a solid vision of how he can be his personal best and talk to you about it with the confidence that nothing is impossible for you to accomplish and that it is your will and delight to make Him more like you. I pray he does not condemn himself for these character defects because he is only human and he is already building character by recognizing them. I pray He turns to you in trust that You want the dreams and hopes for him as much as he does, and will bring them to fruition in Your time. Plant seeds of hope, giving reason to live and enjoy loved ones, and love himself. Show him his talents and give him the patience to nurture them, bring wholesome people and influences into his life, and not give in to practices that will hinder his growth. Give Him patience in the storm, and encouraging victories, no matter how small, to see the fruits of his labor and developing discipline. Please lead him to people who could help in school, and if there are any issues in his life that are interfering with his peace of mind and concentration, may they be resolved. I ask this through Christ our Lord, Amen.
