Please pray for the family of my dear brother in Christ, Jeremiah, who died of an apparent heart attack yesterday. We ask that they find comfort in the Lord, and that he will keep them under His blood. Pray that his young widow be able to provide for their children, and that the ones in college will be able to complete their education.
Also hold up in prayer my brother and his family. He and his wife are having severe marital difficulties due to past infidelity (before they were married) and her bipolar disorder. She refused to refill her medication and has told my brother that she no longer wants to be married to him. They have 5 young children (he does more than half of the household duties and most of the child-rearing) and does not want to leave, for their sake. She refuses counseling and considers herself single now, even though they still live together. As I write this (it's 1:30 am here) she is out partying and drinking with another man (she admitted to him that's what she is doing) while leaving my brother at home with the children. He has been faithful to her since they were married but she continues, especially lately, to throw his past infidelity in his face and she won't even consider trying to forgive him. He has done everything he knows to do to try to make things work, but she wants to hold this over him and make him pay over and over again. He used to think it was because of the lack of medication, but is beginning to believe that she would feel this way whether she was taking it or not. Please pray that God intervenes, and that she takes her medication, that they get counseling and that both of them desire to restore the marriage. Also, that God will restore my brother's job that he lost due to layoffs.
