Father, in the Name of Jesus, we thank You for leaders who know You and Your ways. We pray for discernment that only You can give. Help us to know who wants to follow You when we go to the polls to vote. Help us not to support perversion, murder, backbiting, slander or gossip. You have put The Lighthouse in front of us to steer us around the stumbling bocks that have appeared before our faces, let that Light show us that through Your Spirit, the obstacles have been removed, and the Way is straight ahead.
Remove the spirit of slumber, so that our eyes may see and our ears may hear. Let any hidden motive or agenda of our Adversary be revealed ahead of time, so that deception will be impossible. Put our feet on Your Rock, so that we may be a nation that is no longer in division, but rather united under Your glory. Please give our leaders a spirit of peace and comfort through this election year. Let them be aware of the fact that we have all been manipulated by evil, and we know they are no exception. We have all been deceived and fall short of the glory You have been giving us access to in Your presence. Please let them know that we also know that the Accuser is out there, and he is not flesh and blood, but he sure likes to use flesh and blood to do his evil work. Let our leaders value of themselves not be pounded to dust, but rather let them know that flesh is of great value to You and You are the One that heals. We thank You, and stand humbly in Your presence. Be with us and be with our leaders, as we try to figure out Your Way. In Jesus' Name we ask, Amen. |
