Hogwash, Frederik. It's God's word, not Jerry's.

Does God lie?

I have a question Jerry.

Based on this post and what you are teaching in Parkland, I seem to be getting a glimmer of something that concerns the "prayer only lasts 24 hours" concept that you posted last year (boy, that sounds strange).

If we pray in a way that garauntees that God hears our prayer and He answers it, then we do not need more than 24 hours because He moves when we pray and we don't need to nag at Him until we get it right and approach the throne in such a way that He can hear us.

God cannot hear us when we are in sin which means when we nag or repeat ourselves we are only getting ourselves worked up, because He cannot hear us.

But then there are the examples of long drawn out prayer like Daniel. Wait, light bulb... God had answered Daniel's prayer the moment he asked, it was the prince of Persia that delayed the answer...

That was before Jesus assumed all Authority on earth, so does this mean that the powers and principalities are no longer able to delay God's answers? Hmm, I need to pray on that one, but would like some input also.

If they are able to delay answers then how do we pray in order to stop the delay?

Satan and his minions have power but no Authority to use it.

Jesus has the power and the Authority to use power and he gives us that same Authority when we walk as a Child of God in Repentance and Salvation with Him to the Father.

When we approach God as a child, washed up, dressed to go before Him and in the right attitude of repentance, praise and worship and ask in the assurance of His answer, do we need to continue praying for what we have asked for?

Or is there more that I just need to wait for teaching on?

I know there is more or I wouldn't be here asking questions, I think I just need to know if I am on the right track or off chasing rabbits.

The bible says a lot but not everything is as easy as it may seem, look at John 14:14. I have prayed for many things in Jesus name but they did not happen, you have to know what praying in his name really means.

when praying in Jesus name you need to be walking in authority and in faith and have the confidence in knowing anything you ask in Jesus name will be done and it will, theres no 2 way streets when praying, we cant have when we are praying a double mind and a faith mind at the same time will never work period, the only way God hears you and wants to hear you when you pray is through faith, now what is faith
Hebrews 11
1NOW FAITH is the assurance (the confirmation, the title deed) of the things [we] hope for, being the proof of things [we] do not see and the conviction of their reality [faith perceiving as real fact what is not revealed to the senses]. So we need to walk in faith and never never doubt or be double - minded God will never hear you through double - mindedness or doubt he cant he is a faith God he operates in faith and expectancy, we have to expect him to hear us and move in and on what we ask from him and he will do it, Hebrews 11
6It's impossible to please God apart from faith. And why? Because anyone who wants to approach God must believe both that he exists and that he cares enough to respond to those who seek him. {Message translation}
