He leads me to a feast, prepared Especially for me, His own. Protects me from all earthly foes, And, intimately, I am known. His grace unending, poured upon This child, who stumbles 'pon life's path. Time and again, choosing the wrong, Deserving God's judgement and wrath. Instead, lavishly, He bestows Forgiveness, mercy, joy and grace. Such love, acceptance, shown each time I call His Name, and seek His face. How could I e'er repay this God Whose love and grace has set me free. All that He asks is that I come To Him each day on bended knee. Yielding my life for Him to fill With love, patience, kindness, and peace. Always seeking to do His will And to the captives, bring release. This Saviour, who has shown such grace Has been to me a faithful Friend. My Refuge, Teacher, help and Guide Who'll stay with me until time's end. by Deborah L Thomas ©2004 |
