Grandparents

God has had His hand on my life from the tender age of four. I wish to serve God with all He has given me. Unfortunately, I am not as bold and courageous as I should be about witnessing to others about Christ's love.

My grandmother is LDS(Mormon) by claim only. My grandmother is Catholic by claim only. My grandmother(Edna) says that whatever church you go to is okay, but she won't go with me. She's seen a lot of hypocritical behavior, especially from my family(myself included). She says that she's worked all her life and might as well shovel coal in hell. My grandfather(Pat), white Irish Catholic, says that the Bible is nothing more than a history of the Jews, and also says that the Bible is not true. He also makes claims that he is from another planet or that he is a warlock and associated with the KKK.

God has been giving me more boldness, and helping me to speak to them more than ever about God and a personal relationship with Christ. I praise God for that. I ask for your support in prayer. I pray that God would use me to speak to my grandparents in a mighty way such that their hearts would be drawn to Christ. May the Holy Spirit place a relentless call on their hearts and never stop or let go.

Praise be to God for His unspeakable gift!

I appologize, but I must amend my last post. I mentioned that my grandmother is LDS. I meant to say that my grandfather is Catholic, but I mistakenly used the word grandmother again. Please forgive the error. I appologize for any confusion.

I understand where you are coming from.  I also have never been bold enough to witness to others.  But since I have started trusting in God, I have noticed that I have become more and more vocal about God.

Lord, I wanna lift David up to you.  Give him the strength to witness to his grandma.  Give him the right time and words to tell them more and more about you.  Give his grandma a hunger that can only be filled by you.  Show her the direction she needs to take.  I ask that you put people in her life that will point her towards you.
All of this I pray in Your Name,
        Amen.
