I am having a time! My what fun it is to work with my kids and get paid for it.
This year is the first year that all of my kids will be attending school.
I work full time in the printing trade on a swing shift. When the school year starts up the only time that I will see my four kids will be on the weekends. I have been seeking the Lord about doing something that I enjoy and working during the day so that I can spend time with my family and other church activites as well. This may indeed be it.
I am looking into becoming a contractor (on paper). License, bond, and insured. I have had ten years of experience remodeling my home. Kitchen & bath repairs, and remodel. Electrical wiring, garage building, gas line installation. Cabinetry and finish carpentry. I have even done lighting and cross display work at a local church.
Now by referral friends are asking me to do work for them. It is starting to grow. So what does all of this mean? It means that I want to develop more skills and aquire more tools to do what I love. TO CREATE!
Please pray that I would be led to the right connections needed to get this business off the ground. I plan to work both jobs for a season until
I am ready to jump in.
I told my son Andrew that I love doing work with him, it is just extra icing on the cake that we both get paid well for our efforts. Andrew is 14 years old and now this summer he is on the work site getting paid $8.00 per hour. He is saving for his car. I will not tell you what I am getting paid hourly, but it is real good =)
This would be my dream. To do this and to minister to my kids in our neighborhood. Please pray also as at this time we are looking for a 15 passenger van to bring our kids to church. I will more than fill it every Sunday and Wednesday. We are driving a Nissan Quest mini-van and
ten people do not fit all that well...
Blessings, Robert Cyders....

Robert, if you are doing everything in your life because you want to be a servant of God and to God, then He will definitely bless and provide the needs for that to happen. If what HE wants you to do means that you get to do something you already know and love, that's an extra blessing and privilege that you should be very excited to have. Stay grounded, keep your feet planted on Solid Ground, keep praising God along the way. Congratulations.
