Prayer Warrior Strategy

I don't know how you have been praying. But if you're like the usual prayer warrior (I know, I am one), we pray by the hour sometimes, we want the breakthrough so bad. That's how I prayed for my brother-in-law so long.
But God told me something new is coming in 2004 -- as we focus on Jesus and not the problem, we will move into His glory. Wrapped in His glory, we will see the miracle happen!!! We must look to Jesus the Author and Finisher of our faith!!! When we look to Him and begin praising Him for Who He is, He will become THAT to us. You know The I AM That I AM? Someone said, "Say it this way: I AM that. I AM." So we must praise Him as our Savior, our Deliverer, our Redeemer, our Provider, our Supplier, our Comforter, our Healer....etc. Then, Jesus becomes THAT to us.
He seemed to be telling me, when we pray the problem, we are problem focused. Even though we may be saying, "Lord, please don't let my husband leave," we are still stating the bad situation we face. Rather, we should say, "Thankyou for healing my marriage!" Rather then saying, "Lord, I can't find a job," we should say, "Lord, You are well able to give me a job, well able to show me favor." See the difference?
Better than that, we must focus on HIM. We must turn our eyes upon Jesus and look full in His wonderful face. The things of earth truly will grow strangely dim in the light of His glory and grace. We think, as prayer warriors, that we should be begging God and pleading and crying out (and crying out is Biblical). But we often pray as though it depends on us. But, what God told me this year is, IT DOES NOT. God will do the work!!! Rather than wearing ourselves out praying, we are to start praising Him, worshipping Him, focusing on Him 24/7. Whenever your mind begins dwelling on the problem, turn your focus to Jesus. I know this sounds simplistic (as in, wouldn't any Christian understand to do this?), but I am sharing it as a reminder. God had to remind me. I was praying SO DESPARATELY for my brother-in-law to get right....I was so frustrated with God, like "Why aren't you doing this? I've prayed and prayed." Then, he explained it's about seeking HIM, not about seeking the answer to my prayer. The problem may not be going anywhere for a while, so why not get into God's glory, seated in heavenly places in Christ, while I wait? From that position, I begin to have faith to the point that I don't have to cry out hours on end. I see Jesus, so I see that He WILL do it. HE is the answer to my prayer!!!
We must couple our praying with praise!!! Beyond praise, it must be an entire life of worhsip. We must be in a position of worship 24/7. Our battle position is not looking at demons or the devil. Yes, there are times we have to face them down. But, as someone said last night on Priase the Lord, "What if Satan is only there to make us see what me must look beyond?" We must look beyond the devil TO JESUS. We must SEE JESUS. The man now is talking about having a vision. The ony vision I want, is a vision of Jesus. Jesus is the vision giver and He will bring the vision to pass. We MUST look to Him.
This life is not about US -- it's about HIM!!! It's not about how hard we pray, how much we fast, how many times we cry out....it's about His miracle working power to perform it. We want to know why He let's the situation get so bad. Well, as someone said, Lazerous was sick...sicker...sickest. Then, he was dead, deader, deadest.... Why? So Jesus would get all the glory!!! We are so US focused -- "Lord, I need a job." "Lord, I need money." "Lord, I need my marriage healed." "Lord, I need You to heal me." "Lord, I need my family saved." God has plans far bigger than what we can see. He is not just looking to our little agenda. He wants to be lifted up to draw all men unto himself. So, He has an eternal purpose in waiting to send the answer.
Actually, when I read needs up here, where it seems like poeple are down for the count, I know God is about to step in. How else can he get all the glory, unless the situation is impossible in the natural? Then, when the miralce occurs, everyone will KNOW it is God. The skeptics and doubters and mockers will have their mouths effectiviely shut. WOW!!! Praise God!!!
Jesus is the Captain of the Lord's Host. We must look to Him and listen to Him and follow His commands. Obedience to Him is how we will win the wars we fight in prayer. I believe this is the year that as we focus on HIM, as we praise HIM and get caught up in HIS glory, we are going to see a flow of miracles as never before.

Wow, that was a GOOD WORD! The simple faith I had in those days, the ability to focus on HIM and leave the moving to Him....Not crying out night and day in desperation. Though, there is the scritpure that says Jesus cried out with tears and another that says the effectual, FERVENT prayer avails much. I believe that God does lead us to times of crying out, to times of FERVENT praying....especially crying out in repentance for His mercy, crying out for HIM to move in our lives. But to just believe all needs were met and supplied as I did, then, and not be focused on those needs but on HIM.... What a blessing! Thank You, Lord, for ministering this to me again! I pray I may be YOU focused again, and rest in Your Glory, knowing You will take care of it all. Sometimes, His Presence will move on us to cry out to Him for a particular need, and then it is not us, in the flesh, trying to move God. It is GOD moving us, which means He has a plan to answer!
JeriRose, worshipping Him

As I pray for others here on Annointed, I ask God's intervention out of honor for Him, not demanding His action. Yet, when am done with any prayer, I already believe in my heart and mind, His Will is done, for the Promises He gives us and I'm thanking God for each particular one as it relates to the prayer(s) I've posted.
As our old Home Church Pastors taught us the Congregaton, its not just a matter of petitioning God, but knowing and believing in His Promises, that after prayer, we now just... believe, without question, God has answered it, because He told us He would do as Promised. So, thats how I view it anyways. Even if as yet its not physically evident, I just believe in my heart it is answered.
God Bless!!
