I married my husband December 17, 2003. I have a daughter and he has 2 daughters and a son. It has been a real struggle, but I know this is what I want. I love him, but I feel as if everything is against us right now. I can't seem to get our lives on track. He was really hurt by his ex wife and even though he doesn't mean to, he makes me work twice as hard to prove I am not her and that nothing matters more to me than our family. We were engaged 2 years before getting married because we both wanted to be sure we were making the right decision for us as well as our children. I just feel like something hs to bring us together. Something needs to bond us. Please....I really need yours prayers. My family means so very much to me.

Lord Jesus,
I lift my sister and her husband up to you. Lord, you are the healer of our hearts. You know each and every wound that marks this man. In your precious name, I ask for his healing. Lord, help him to see what is going on, that he is destroying what he seeks to preserve. Help him to see that his new bride cannot correct the wrongs his first wife brought about. Her love can be a healing force in his life now, but she cannot undo what was done to him before.
Lord, in a blended family there are so many allegiances, memories, and painful elements. Please bring your spirit here. Help them to overcome this. Help them to find unity and a common thread. Lessen conflict. Open each one to receiving love openly, without putting the other person through a test. Bless this family and renew them, in your name.
Give wisdom to this sister. Help her to know what you want her to do, and guide her every word. Pour your love out upon her so she always has more to give.
In Jesus' name,
Amen
