Depression Epidemic and prayer

I have suffered from depression for the past 5 years and most of those were spent with no relief. Most people do not take depression seriously and don't understand why you just can't be happy, but it is NOT that easy. The feelings of hopelessness and pointlessness and tired and anger that comes from not being able to do anything about it or not really knowing what is wrong. FOr the longest time I thought I was pretty much alone until I found the prayer board and as I read throught the post everyday I see more and more post about depression and needing pray for healing from depression. THere are so many post that it seems to be an epidemic. Satan is defintely at work, trying to turn people away from God in their sadness. Blinding them from God's love. Making them feel hopeless in their lives. I ask you to post a prayer for all those who suffer from depression.
God I pray that you will touch those on this message board with depression. God lift their lives out of the darkness and show them the beauty of life and all it holds. God I ask that you allow each and every sufferer to find help for this affliction in what ever form works best for their life. God I ask that you touch each of our hearts and speak to our hearts to give us strength to make it to the light in life. In your name I pray, Amen

Hi there, how are you? I hope you know thre is someone who cares and that's me.
Also, I can identify with you because I have had the problem of depression too in my life.
I never could take medicine for it because I hate pills and they make me not feel right.
But now, thanks to God pouring out His wisdom, I know that there is medicine available for those who are depressed and it's not whacko medicine- you don't even know you're taking it and it helps your nerves heal where you won't have to take it all your life.
I found out that it was hereditary what I had.
I'm not ashamed of it at all because it was something I had that Jesus helped me through. If you've had depression for a long time, chances are it's a chemical imbalance in your brain. It's nothing you can help no more than you could help if you were born with a crooked toe or something!
So, please get help somewhere so you can live the happy life God intends for you.

Dear Lord,
We thank you for the knowledge that you have given the world on illnessses that beset us, I pray that you will make a way for this beautiful soul to find peace and happiness forever and may the joy of his salvation show all over his face!

Father, It's true, more and more Christians seem to be under attack in the realm of the mind and emotions. Father, please lift depression out of the lives of those who are suffering. Help them to be released and move into a new day with You, a time of your favor, where whatever is causing that depression is broken forever. In Jesus' name, Amen.
