House Bill 1191

Please be in prayer over House Bill 1191, which would make abortion illegal, except if the mother's life is in danger, in South Dakota. This bill was discussed this evening in a committee meeting, and appears very promising. The bill will go to the House at our state capital on Monday. Planned Parenthood is storming the gates, but we have many prolife representatives in office, including our governor, so I am confident that something good is going to come out of this. This could be the step needed in gaining ground on overthrowing Roe v. Wade. May God's will be done!

Lord, I pray that this bill passes. Let righteousness prevail! These people may not all be Christians, but if they are presented with the truth that this is really a baby, I pray they will be convinced to vote correctly. I pray that a miracle happens and a victory is won. Thankyou, Lord, for this oppurtunity to promote a righteous cause. Change the hearts of those voting to vote in favor of life.

This Bill passed in the House today 54-14! Praise God! It goes to the Senate next, and we have alot of representatives there, who support this Bill. It will probably go to Supreme Court, and it doesn't sound like they will pass the Bill. Please keep praying! Thanks, and God bless you all!

HB1191 is scheduled to be heard by the Senate Committee this Saturday morning at 7:45AM CST. Don’t forget to pray for the Senators and the passage of this bill without any amendments.

Thanks, and God bless you!

South Dakota Senate Changes Abortion Ban Measure Amid Legal Concerns
Pierre, SD (LifeNews.com) -- Members of the South Dakota state Senate have changed a bill intended to ban virtually all abortions in South Dakota into legislation that would make sure abortion practitioners are required to divulge the risks associated with abortion before a woman has one. Legislators made the change because of concerns that the ban would be found unconstitutional. The state House had perviously approved the abortion ban by a 54-15 vote. Members of the Senate State Affairs Committee said the bill, that seeks to overturn Roe v. Wade, would almost certainly be struck down by the Supreme Court, which currently has a pro-abortion majority. The new measure retains a policy statement saying members of the legislature agree that science has definitely proven that life begins at fertilization. The Supreme Court, in the Webster case in 1989, upheld state's rights to make statements about the origination of human life in the womb.

Lord, let this bill pass. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.

The South Dakota Senate voted 18-15 to ban all abortions in South Dakota!
Praise God! The bill now awaits the signature of Governor Rounds. Pray the governor signs the bill. He is prolife, but has not declared whether or not he will sign the bill.
