Questions about prayer

I had a few questions about prayer and had no one else to ask, hope you seasoned believers do not think them to be ignorant.

When someone says "give it to the Lord" or to "completley turn it over to God" what exactly does that mean? Does it mean to pray about it to the Lord and then forget about it or should you continue to pray? I do not completley understand.

Last question, is there a right way and a wrong way to pray? I love to pray for others and to see the Lord work in their live!

Thanks for the advice in advance

give it to the lord means to give him all your cares and burdens and troubles worries fears everything place it all in his hands in prayer and then yes leave it there and rest in him and trust in him that all will be ok and that he is capable to take care of it all, to some it all up let go and let God

how you pray is you let the Holy Spirit lead you and you yield to him when you pray, you yield to him by listening to his voice within you that has only his anointing and his peace behind it and word, right before you pray for anyone ask the Holy Spirit to lead you into what to say he will help you he always does
