I do not belong to a church nor am I attending a church currently, so how do I tithe? Can I give to a charity as tithing such as as homeless shelter or rescue mission? Should I tithe to tv churches? Can I donate my time to a needy cause or person? Thank you for your help as I try to grow closer to the Lord. Also, do you tithe 10% of every weeks salary or just the first month's salary of the year?

How friends of mine have done it when between churches is that they sent their tithe to a sound ministry, such as World Vision or a local women's shelter or something like that. From what I understand, you are to tithe 10% of each paycheck that comes in.
Are you looking for a new church? I hope you find a wonderful one where you have great fellowship with other members of the body of Christ!

Im so glad you ask. I am also in the same situation, Ive prayed and prayed about this one. I believe the Lord impressed upon me to thithe 10% to Voice of Martyrs, the perecuted church. This a great way to help minister to those Who really need our help! There are many recources, esp. those who spread gospel around the world. Always pray and seek Gods guidance. There are as many sheep in wolfs clothing also. So it is important to research. My local christian radio station is also a great place to help. I am always listening, so I know what they are preaching. It fills the air ways with the gospel. Like afr.net, christian radio with something good in the air. If I listen everyday then I should be a part of their support.Your money and support is very important ,its where your HEART is, and what you BELIEVE in. I want to put it where souls are reached for Jesus! Or to feed the children. Just let God and His spirit lead!
