Try reading Matthew, chapter 6

Posted by: jaymacim

Matthew 6 is excellent... I also like:

1 Peter 5:7
Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.

Posted by: talena

Philippians 4:6-7

I would suggest that you write that out several times and tape it up where you will see it several times a day. Tape it on doors, the refrigerator, mirrors, books, the remote control, etc...

And Matthew 6 is good to read.

Also, 1 Corinthians 4:5 "Therefore judge nothing before the time until the Lord come, who both will bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and will make manifest the counsels of the hearts: and then shall every man have praise of God."

Paul himself even recognized that even our most conscientious attempts to maintain pure motives fall far short. Indwelling sin (including worry) taints everything that we do. But Paul did not allow that to discourage him from aiming at high motives. Neither did he despair of doing anything good. He was content to do his best in life and let God be his judge.

Make sure that you are living under the grace of God, and you will NEVER have any reason to worry again.

Pray about these verses when you feel like worrying.

Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.
Matthew 6:34 NIV

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
Psalm 23:4 KJV

Cast your burden upon the Lord and He will sustain you: He will never allow the righteous to be shaken.
Psalm 55:22 NASB

Trust in him at all times, O people; pour out your hearts to him, for God is our refuge.
Psalm 62:8 NIV

Daughter, be of good comfort; thy faith hath made thee whole.
Matthew 9:24 KJV

Come to me all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your soul. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.
Matthew 11:28-30 NIV

Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.John 14:1 KJV

An anxious heart weighs a man down….
Proverbs 12:25 NIV

Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid….
Isaiah 12:2 KJV

Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.Proverbs 3:5-6 KJV

Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is life not more important than food and the body more important than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life.
Matthew 6:25-27 NIV

God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
Psalm 46:1 KJV

I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth.
Psalm 121:1-2 KJV

I hope this helps

Sit Pray and think on these verses and you will stop the worry
"Be still, and know that I am God." -- Psalm 46:10
It's so simple and beautiful. God is telling me to not worry, to rest, to wait, and know who He is.

"Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord." -- Psalms 27:14
This is the verse I repeat to myself the most often. I usually say it when I am getting anxious or impatient. Wait for Him.

"But these things I plan won't happen right away. Slowly, steadily, surely, the time approaches when the vision will be fulfilled. If it seems slow, wait patiently, for it will surely take place. It will not be delayed."
-- Habakkuk 2:3
Who would have thought that one of my favorite verses would be in Habakkuk? What I like so much about this verse is that it specifically says that God's promise will happen, and that it will happen exactly when it should happen.

"I am the Lord, and I do not change." -- Malachi 3:6
God is constant, an immovable rock. When we're panicky, He's not. He never changes, no matter how much we do.

Job 31:1
"I have made a covenant with my eyes not to look lustfully at a girl."
--
I think any man -- especially unmarried could benefit from memorizing this verse.

"If you need wisdom -- if you want to know what God wants you to do -- ask Him, and He will surely tell you. He will not resent your asking." -- James 1:5
I love the simplicity of this concept. Ask Him, and He will tell you. He'll lead us.

"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." -- Jeremiah 29:11
This verse is fantastic, and is great to remember whenever I start to fret about the future. Not only does God have a plan for me, but His plan is good!

"Your promise revives me; it comforts me in all my troubles." -- Psalm 119:50
His promises really do revive me. When things seem hopeless, I remember what He has promised me, and I am comforted

May God Bless

show you a way out so that you will not give in to it.

Faith is being sure of what we hope for
and certain of what we do not see.
---Hebrews 11:1

Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat
or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more
important than food, and the body more important than clothes? Look
at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in
barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more
valuable than they? Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to
his life? And why do you worry about clothes? See how the lilies of
the field grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you that not
even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. If
that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today,
and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you,
O you of little faith? So do not worry saying, 'What shall we eat?'
or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear?' For the pagans run
after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need
them. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these
things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about
tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough
trouble of its own.
---Matthew 6:25-34

Whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.
---1 Corinthians 10:31

Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many
kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops
perseverence. Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, because
when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that
God has promised to those who love him.
---James 1:2,12

And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call his name Jesus,
for He will save His people from their sins.
---Mathhew 1:21

Go home and tell your friends what great things the Lord has done for
you and how He has had compassion on you.
---Mark 5:19

For God so loved the world that He gave his only begotten son that
whoever believes in him should not perish but have everlasting life.
For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but
that the world through Him might be saved.
---John 3:16-17

If God be for us, who can be against us?
---Romans 8:31

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness,
goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.
---Galatians 5:22-23

I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
---Philippians 4:13

My brothers, count it all joy when you fall into various trials,
knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience.
---James 1:2-3

And behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to
every one according to his work. I am the Alpha and the Omega,
the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last.
---Revelation 22:12

Parents, do not provoke your children to wrath, but bring them up in
the training and admonition of the Lord.
---Ephesians 6:4

For with God, nothing shall be impossible.
---Luke 1:37

We love, because God first loved us.
---1 John 4:19

If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love,
I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. And if I have prophetic
powers, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have
all faith, so as to remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing.
If I give away all I have, and if I deliver my body to be burned,
but have not love, I gain nothing. Love is patient and kind; love is
not jealous or boastful; it is not arrogant or rude. Love does not
insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not
rejoice at wrong, but rejoices in the right. Love bears all things,
believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never
ends; as for prophecies, they will pass away; as for tongues,
they will cease; as for knowledge, it will pass away. For our
knowledge is imperfect and our prophecy is imperfect; but when the
perfect comes, the imperfect will pass away. When I was a child, I
spoke like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child;
when I became a man, I gave up childish ways. For now we see in a
mirror dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall
understand fully, even as I have been fully understood. So faith,
hope, love abide, these three; but the greatest of these is love.
--- 1 Corinthians 13

I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live,
but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith
in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
---Galatians 2:20 NIV

Whatever you do or say, let it be as a representative
of the Lord Jesus.
---Colossians 3:17

When he came and had seen the grace of God, he was glad, and
encouraged them all that with purpose of heart they should continue
with the Lord. For he was a good man, full of the holy spirit and of
faith. And a great many people were added to the Lord.
---Acts 11:23-24

Hi brother,

I want you to know all of these responses are wonderful and shows you that we also have faced fear in our lifes. It does not mean we are more spiritual but choose to find what God's Word says on fear and stand on it. The verses have help me sleep better, reelax more, be a better loving Father and many other areas, including fear. A favorite of mine is 2TIM 1:7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
Anytime you ever want to find a verse to counter any negative area in your life, just look in a concordance and find all the verses to stand on. A good internet Bible search site for me is http://www.merariteworldwide*****/cgi-bin/bib/bible.cgi . They only have the King James Version but it is excellent in finding exact verses and you can always look up the verse in your own Bible translation that you prefer. God bless you brother and thank God for Jesus' Word for us today, Amen.
