Repetitive Preaching

Jerry,

You know I admire, respect and esteem you and your ministry very much. I love listening to your teaching. But, you have a habit of saying "Oh you're not listening to me at all!" or "Are you listening to me at all??" a LOT. I mean A LOT!!! I don't know if you're aware of it. It sounds like a parent scolding his children. I'm listening on the internet now and you've said that or something like that at least eight times in the last 15 minutes.

Just for the record.....

just because we don't scream, jump, gasp, cough, groan, sneeze, belch, roll around, or whatever, doesn't mean we didn't HEAR you. I hear every word [almost] you say, yes, and I even hear and understand it SPIRITUALLY too! Give us SOME credit will ya?

Sorry to be critical and I know it's [you just said it AGAIN on the internet] not important [you just said it AGAIN] but it's annoying. I'm sure you'll grin that grin of yours and tell me to get over it. Ok, ok. I guess I will. But one of these days, I may jump up and holler "YES I HEAR YOU!!!"

Had to vent. ACK, you just said it AGAIN!!!!!

I hope no one else decides rudeness is the "in" thing. Do you like it when people say critical things about you? Or are you already in heaven and perfect?

So let me see if I understand you. If I think what Jerry said is rude and I say it’s rude, and then you say I what I say is rude, doesn’t that make you rude to tell me you think I was rude? I was in no way rude to Jerry, in fact, I did my best to express myself as kindly as possible, yet I get attacked for this? Interesting.

Perhaps we should calmly consider, with all the people needing help and prayers on this board, why it is that you find it necessary to set ME straight. Which, when you think about it, makes you as guilty of doing to me the exact thing you PERCEIVE I did to Jerry! It’s this kind of nonsense that makes me want to become a hermit!

Now let us all lay down our defensive posturing, take a deep cleansing breath and get to the business of doing God’s work, shall we, before satan robs us of any more of our time and effort.

[Just to clarify what qualifies as a “cha ching”. When someone says ALL MANNER of EVIL against you FALSELY, then [and ONLY THEN], great is your reward in heaven. I said NO manner of evil against Jerry and I never will, and what I said wasn’t false, it was true. I have know Jerry for a long time and I am his friend.]

Well, I spent most of the day yesterday repenting to God. He came to your defense already. I didn't know what I did wrong, at first. I don't know how to use this machine very well and was experimenting with the doodads at the top of the page and this is how it came out.

I have not achieved perfection yet, unfortunately, so I will have to use my covenant relationship with Jesus every day. I don't want to hurt anyone's feelings, ever, especially not yours.

Please accept this as my formal apology to you, and I hope we will be friends.

Father, in the Name of Jesus, please forgive me for all of my sins whether I know what they are or not. Help me not to offend anyone, but to be a vessel You can use. Thank You for hearing my prayer. Amen.

Thank you for that heartfelt apology. Please forgive me too if words came across harshly. Sometimes it's hard to know how words come across on here and things are taken wrong. Time to make better use of those smiley faces, huh!

I am too often quick to judge for the negative and like you say, none of us are perfect and won't be until we see heaven. In the meantime, we are works in progress!

Let's forgive and forget and move on to God's calling!
