custom avatar?

actually 2 questions...how can I get a custom avatar and how do I add pics to me posts? when I click the little yellow picture box it opens something that says

Hi friend!

To get an avatar: After you sign in, click on "My account."
You'll see an icon that says "change info". Click that.
(You'll also see there an icon for "picture upload".)
After you click "change Info", you'll see a whole row of things, one of which says "avatar". Click that and select your picture. I think there are 3 pages of pictures.
