I have a speech impediment that prevents me from participating in church the way I would like to and prevents me from doing normal things that teenagers do, like getting a job and being a leader in school. It also prevents me from doing simple things like calling 1411 for information and phone numbers. The technology is available to help me with this disability, but my family can't afford it. I graduate in May and I will have to say a valedictorian address. I cry when I realize that what is supposed to be one of the happiest days of my life will be one of the worst. I'm at the point where I'm considering not showing up for my own graduation to prevent the heatache that I know saying my speech will cause me. I'm in desperate need of prayer.

Hi Keona 1,
I will be praying for you. I have some words of encouragement and I hope this will help you.
I work with disable teens middle school ages 13-16 for 9 years now.I have seen miricles though them, they have worked hard to get though the (what may be something simple to us) hardest of accomplishments.
Yes sometimes things seem to be difficult and unfair but stop to think God is good and though you and your faith he's working so you can help others who may have the same disablity as you.You have the strengh and the courage to get though this you are not alone in this as difficult as this may seem to you , you are an example to all who suffer the same diablity.Look how far you've gotten, look at what you've accomplsh you are an excepcinle person and should be proud of yourself don't give up your fight hang in there for the lord will get you though this ,he is holding you and working with and though you.My prayers and thoughts will be with you god bless you.
