This Is A Truly Sick Site

It's bad enough that fake Christians practice their non-Christianity in private but when they publish statements of hate and anger on what is supposed to be a Christian website, they really are committing blasphemy against God.
Whoever created this hate photo collection obviously doesn't understand the most basic essence of Christianity.
God sent Jesus to earth to change the "eye for an eye" teachings in the Old Testament with a gospel of forgiveness, love and peace ;that is the essence of the New Testament .Jesus taught us to "do good to those who hate you" and to love our enemies.Forgiveness is one of the most important themes of Jesus' gospel and in fact the bible states that unless we forgive those who have harmed us,God will not forgive us.
This 9/11 " remember how we were hurt"site is a truly sick moral outrage and it is a slap in the face to Jesus.
A Christian web site should teach people how to forgive, not how to remember hate and anger and the desire to stike back. This is a truly satanic.

Dear Pastor????
If I am never to remember the pain Jesus brought us through what about this?

9/11 is a place to come so we will never forget to pray for this nation.
I forgive you for throwing the stones at us.
I forgive you for judging those who spend their lives for the Lord.

My brother's son is N.Y.C. firefighter. He had just worked a 24 hour shift and was to go home at 9:00 AM. He was asked to work overtime and could not find a baby-sitter for his infant but said he would come back in the evening. At that time, one plane had crashed, yet all were still in confusion as to what was going on. At 9:20AM the truck he would've been on left with 11 of this closest friends on it. All died. He attended over 40 memorials straight into February 2002. Some of these guys were working on his house at the time, they were all so close. Had he found a baby-sitter, he would've been on that truck, as he was the chauffer. He did return at nite on a Red Cross truck and asked where the guys were. Someone said, "they're all dead." He would've been one of them. He struggled a lot with guilt, anger, emotional stuff, and major physical ailments from all of this. There are 27 fatherless children in his firehouse alone. I'd say he only "came around" about a year later. And that's just one person that I personally know well. Two classmates of mine, also perished, one whom I saw at a 25 year class reunion, and was telling me how he just got promoted to Captain and was so excited about it. He left behind 5 sons. I prayed for my newphew and everyone dealing with the stress from this, as he is was a happy go lucky guy, who's life and outlook was changed so dramatically in a few hours. Just think of the thousands and thousands of people who knew these innocents who just hopped a train that day, and ended up hopping out of a window. I'm so glad he had to go home, but still shocked at what a difference 20 minutes made.

Dear Pastor,
If we are commanded to "lift up the hands which hang down, and the feeble knees" (Heb 12:12), and we are truly striving to succor the weak; then we must be willing to listen to our brothers pain, no matter how unpleasant, in order to facilitate the healing and forgiving process. Though we may be only human beings subject to error, the Lord is the only perfect judge; he sees the heart. Though I have been a member of this website only for a short time, I see that Jerry guards this website like a Sheperd guards his flock. I see there is a lot of good coming out of this website.
Matt. 7:6 Ye shall know them by their fruits...

I NEVER want to forget. The media wants us all to "forgive and forget", which devalues our soldiers who are in Iraq and the Middle East. The media wants to paint our president and our military as war mongers and bullies and that our only purpose is to look for a fight. The media would have us believe that we deserved the attack. The people in Hollywood who live fat happy lives get on stage and run their mouths about the President and defame our military. It's not hate. Those of us who don't want to be cow-towed into what the media and people who get paid more in a year than any 5 of us will see in a lifetime are saying, want the truth. Islam is not a religion of peace or love. No matter HOW MANY actors lie to me and tell me otherwise, it doesn't make a lie true. No matter how many people call me a racist or a bigot or close-minded, it doesn't change the facts. People have a problem with sites that expose the ugly truth about Islam and its founders. Tough! Sugar-coating the truth doesn't sweeten it, it just ruins perfectly good sugar.

Mark, I understand where your pain and feelings are coming from. But I believe that God spreads the words of peace, even in these difficult times.
I think that almost all of the islamic people are really nice and friendly. The problem lies with people who use the islam as a weapon (Let us not forget that their are so-called Christians who do the same!
). Hate them, fight them but make room in your heart for those who don't mean harm.

alpha. I have gone through a pretty big transformation since that post
I think I stumbled on this topic after watching the beheading video on another website. I try not to watch the news, unless it's local news. I read the newspaper and I read the news online. But I do not like to watch CNN or some of the other news programs- it just seems like one day they want to celebrate the U.S. for our benevolence and the next day we're condemned for not doing enough or not helping everyone. Thanks for your response. I am a new Christian and still learning and sometimes my halo gets caught on my horns!

To all concerned- Let us not dwell on negative thoughts of such things. The fact is, if we are not to keep in rememberance those things which have had a profound negative effect, for the suffering it has caused, we should not, as Christians be in rememberance of Christ's "Last Supper" for the suffering He was to endure shortly after that. Keeping such things in rememberance, is for awakening our spirits to be more sensitive to that suffering, not for building hate. Only satan or his demons would influence a person to take something so negative as that, in order to try and stop God's Love, compassion and caring for human kind, to replace it with hate, deciet and division within them. Thank you and God Bless!!

Please bear with me, I'm brand new and not familiar with techniques, etc. This entry brings a lot of thoughts to my mind, "God sent Jesus to earth to change the 'eye for an eye' teachings in the Old Testament with a gospel of forgiveness, love and peace; that is the essence of the New Testament. Jesus taught us to "do good to those who hate you" and to love our enemies. Forgiveness is one of the most important themes of Jesus' gospel and in fact the bible states that unless we forgive those who have harmed us, God will not forgive us." Some of these thoughts are relatively new and some have been rolling around in my head a long time. I have questions to be answered as well as just some thoughts that I would appreciate consideration of and comments in return, thank you so much for allowing me to 'pluck at your Spiritual fruits'. One thing that comes to my mind is that no matter how much forgiveness one receives, one still reaps the harvest of that sin, and every sin has consequence, doesn't it? Scriptually speaking. And we are admonished throughout Scripture to be obedient to the laws of our land and submit to the authority that God himself has placed over us, no? If this is so, what is so wrong with a person giving up an eye or a hand when they have deliberately, willfully and greatly in sin, taken that which was another's? I realize our, the US justice system would have to be greatly overhauled to permit this kind of justice but we don't even have decent justice as it is anyway. Isn't that why Lady Justice is always depicted with a blindfold in place? And who among us can say that justice isn't blind in the light of well known cases passed and passing through our courts everyday? Who can truly believe that cases are not effected by power, money, prestige, and even race and religion? And through our justice system are the guilty really allowed to reap their due consequences? I think not, on a very simple level ask the thousands of parents who have lost children to drunk drivers who are turned lose conviction after conviction after conviction to go out and drive again and kill and maim innocent people of all ages! And what of the prime example we have of the sex offender who murdered the little girl recently in Fla. whose record revealed probation after probation, release after release, and to what purpose? Yes, we do need to forgive, even the most horrid of these offenders but let them roam free and clear to repeat their sins, or crimes? I think absolutely not, set good solid commonsense consequences and let all living under that authority pay the price and when I say all, I mean just that all!
The response mentions our instructions to love our enemies, I agree with this. What I don't agree with is what some people think love is. Love, God is Love, has boundaries and all who are members of His family and of His kingdom follow His commands and live within those boundaries. Boundaries are good things, not negative controlling chains that bound and stifle life.
We are instructed in His Word to 'turn the other cheek' but I suggest to anyone that we need to desperately take a solid commonsense look at this Scripture. I haven't found where it says to lay down and be a door mat for the devil and those that live like him. Although I have to quickly add that sometimes laying down and being a door mat may be the only way to bring out patience, forbearance, kindness or some other fruit that God is trying to bring out in us, so we must be careful and use our tools to know the will of God in every situation. We can love even the t******st cactus without walking up and embracing it. God will show us and even Christ admonished the disciples, and here I need help, please, that there would be time to turn their ploughs into weapons? Truly, I believe there is a time to seek discernment and wisdom and we are living in it. And is it also possible that what may be a Godly reaction today may not be tomorrow? Or what may be a solid solution for one may not be the same for another? If God chooses a fast for me today, what is that to you? I believe we must work to become as 'one' even as Jesus and God are one and I'm sorry for other religions and beliefs that are contrary but as for me and my house, I will choose the Lord. And I think, for now, I live in a country that allows me to fight for my beliefs in due process and under Scriptural directions and instructions. Thank you again for your allowing me to speak my peace and hopefully learn some good things. Dennis Powers/hobospa

Dennis,
Hello there! You make some very interesting comments and observations!
You are right - God is Love! HE is also the God of righteous, justice, and the perfect judge! Jesus walked the Earth as the perfect example of how we as believers are to individually walk. That being said, He even submitted to the authorities at the time! Jesus told Pilate he would not have any power over HIM, if it were not given to him from the Father above. So as it says in the book of Romans, all authority comes from God - all govt. just, and unjust. The book of Romans also states the one who bears the sword, does not bear it for nothing! Meaning there are legal consequences as individuals, and countries, in the natural!
So forgive your enemies, and bless those who do you wrong/evil. Yet, also pray for God's will, and justice be done! That is the seeming paradox between these two dynamics...
I hope this helps - there is a personal and governing authority dynamic which is in place. Read the verses from Romans hereafter for Scriptual clarity.
-Bill
Romans 13:1-4 Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God. 2 Therefore he who resists the authorities resists what God has appointed, and those who resist will incur judgment. 3 For rulers are not a terror to good conduct, but to bad. Would you have no fear of him who is in authority? Then do what is good, and you will receive his approval, 4 for he is God's servant for your good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for he does not bear the sword in vain; he is the servant of God to execute his wrath on the wrongdoer.

Bill, thank you so much for the input and reply. I guess what gnaws at me is that for years, I'm 60 plus years old, I've had a sibling that has tormented me all of our lives, teasing, looking down on, used me spitefully and hatefully and I could go on and on. Up until this last year through study at my church of The Purpose Driven Life, Experiencing God, Boundaries, I have come to realize that all the years that I thought I loved this sibling, it just wasn't love at all and I can honestly say that because I understand where they are now and where all that 'rivalry' and other junk came from and still comes from, I love them more than I ever have in my whole life, and I mean really love them. No, I don't enable them like I once did, I try to keep good boundaries and establish them where there has never been any in our whole lives. God is blessing me more and more each day with healthier relationships because of what I have learned and put into practice and I won't tolerate the same treatment from them as I did for all the previous years. I believe that the whole Body is going to move, is moving, into this same realm of His Kingdom as we live out these later days and that includes the screwed up, totally lacking of commonsense, society we dwell in. I don't know how we will transfer from what we have to His dominion, I guess it will be the Millennium but sure is going to interesting to get from where we are to there. I made a reference to loving a cactus and since then I've had the additional thought that we can forgive getting stuck but we still need to learn how to handle that cactus without getting hurt ourselves. We can and must learn to deal with skunks and not get sprayed in the mean time. We have the rules for our reactions laid out in very plane English for us, it's time we strive to live by them with open eyes and hearts and pure motives, don''t you think? Thanks again, Dennis P.

Dennis,
Praise God! I am soo very happy that the post beared witness in your spirit.
I do have to agree with you with many of your points. No one has the complete answer, until God reveals it.
I am glad that the enemy is kept under control - at the international level anyway - so we as individuals can figure out our own personal walk with the Lord. I also know we can enjoy these freedoms through the sacrifice of millions, who fought, prayed, and led revolutions before us.
I guess it will all come down to TRUST - will we trust God, will we trust HE is truly in control - has Dominion, and is leading us to a better place personally, and internationally?
I can sympathize with you about siblings...I have the Joseph calling on my life, and in more ways than one (siblings, etc.)!!!
Be in peace, thanks for your follow-up post, and have a very blessed day in the Lord!
-Bill
BTW Praise God!!! I didn't notice until after I had posted, but this was posted at 2:22!!! (PST)

" And I shall bring the Philistines against you' What about the Babylon taking
them Captive. He loves his people and sometimes it takes tough love. Those who exalt themselves I shall humble. Does it not say "Fear not for I have overcome the world and the Evil one". Jesus has overcome. The world trade center went down ;rather we should reflect on why. Many were warned not to go in that day; because God was tearing down a stronghold. What does it
say in Revelations all is fine and dandy? GET REAL AND READ THE WORD AND IF NECESSARY REPENT. 2000 years ago Thomas warned of a Tsunami in Southern India. Who listened to him or knows of his warning? Read what I wrote. I have been disciplined because God loves me.

Father, I pray for Protestant Pastor right now, may You bless him and keep him, and may you touch him with Your hands and Increase his spiritual growth and maturation, in Jesus' Name. And Father, the Bible declares that we should intercede for one another in prayer, in the Name of Jesus, and it goes on to say in the Book of Job, that, Job repented on behalf of his family, and based on that Father God, and in the mighty name of Jesus, I repent of this behavior of SOWING SEEDS OF DISCORD AMONG THE BRETHREN, on behalf of Protestant Pastor, and according to 1 JOHN 1:9, in Jesus' Name....Amen and Praise The Lord!
