what is the point in living

why do we want to be her ethis place is so bad everything thagt happens all these people. why r we were y could we just not live in heaven life forever. like never have to be here. cause this life sucks. if you just think just look around open your eyes you will also see how bad of a place we live in. but why do we want to be here i hate this life. i hate it for the devil is winning

because we all fit together for GODS perfect plan. you are right this life is hard but it is not all hard. you could miss out on a whole lot of blessings if you choose to go. life does suck sometimes but i gaurentee you there will be better days then bad and you dont want to miss one day.

called GOD'S special woman or man.

our GOD made no mistake,
he knit you together within the womb,
your are just what he wanted to make.

the parents you had were the ones he chose,
and no matter how you feel,
they were custom-designed with GOD'S plan in mind,
they bear the MASTER'S seal.

no that trauma you faced was not easy
and GOD wept that it hurt you so
but it was allowed to shape your heart
so that into his likeness you'd grow.

you are who you are for a reason
you've been formed by the MASTER'S rod
you are who you are, beloved
because there is a GOD!

You're right this place is so bad in many ways. We all feel depressed periodically. Just finished reading the "Purpose Driven Life" and he says we shouldn't expect heaven on earth. Sometimes I think Christians expect only good things to happen to them and I do believe that speaking positive comments is what God wants us to do. The Bible does say to rejoice for this is the day that the Lord has made. We know that God has everything under control, praise Him in the valleys, know that we've been saved, and praise Him in the mountain tops because praising Him is our purpose. I tried to sleep in a hospital straight chair, I sure was a lot more thankful last night when I went to sleep in my bed. I couldn't take a shower while at the hospital all night with a friend so it was really wonderful to be able to take a shower. We had a safe trip home and she came home last night without any surgeries. Her husband was glad to see her when she got home. I got to spend time with my family. That's just some of things that happened yesterday. So I praise the Lord.

i feel a lot better today. but i think what bugged me so much yesterday was that that was the first time i went to mass an didnt like it. i been going every sunday since nov. an only missed once. an i been going ever thursday since jan. but that was the first one that i just didnt like it. an it just really bugs me for i love goign to mass i wish i could go everyday. an i love praying.i just love doing things like this but i dont know what happen yesterday. am i lose whatever i had????

While everything God says is important, sometimes messages just won't hit you personally as well as other ones. There are times when I have been bored in church as well, as has everyone here wether or not they'll admit it. However, I guarantee that, eventually, you will be given a message that will trigger you. Patience is a key quality that all of us must learn, and sometimes God might give a message that will not connect with you, yet will revolutionize the man's life who is behind you. But this is crucial: Don't over worry about things when they don't revolutionize you. You are not evil because one church service didn't change your life. From personal experience, I can tell you that when you worry too much about being perfect, the devil WILL find a way into your mind. Focus not on perfection, but why you are forgiven.

Awesome16, it sounds like you might be relying on your emotions to determine your relationship with God - just like MANY of us including me. But we're to praise God no matter whether we're in the valleys or the mountain tops. Hope this helps.

awesome16, hang in there, we all have bad days. I also hate this world, but know that it's the place that God has put me, so I must obey and do my best. It's not wrong to hate this world, Jesus Himself said "Because you love Me, the world will hate you". Remember, Christians are prime targets for the devil, he already has non believers.
But don't be fooled, the devil is NOT winning. It's like the bumper sticker I saw yesterday, it read "I know the future, God wins!!"
Another thing, God led you to this prayer board for a reason, to have other Christians lift you up to The Lord when you need it, as we all do at times. Also remember that sometimes when your conscious mind doesn't seem to respond to the church message, The Holy Spirit in you does, and so does your subconscious. The Lord will always be with you if you want Him to be, even when you can't feel His presence.
Take comfort in knowing that other people on this board care about you enough to read and respond to you, this is another way that God shows His presence.

Awesome, bless you, dont be discouraged, dont be dismayed at your feelings. You haven't lost anything. Just seeing the reality of the world we live in.....only the Lord has said we are not of this world..we don't belong here...our place in is Heaven with Him. But for the time we are stuck here.... ......then He wants us to share His love with the lost ones who are REALLY living in this deteriating world. Maybe He allowed you to glimpse it again for a reason??????

And listen sis, sometimes i have to sit thru a sermon with ants in my pants....just dying for it to be over so i can get out.......you're not the only one
