A huge thankyou.. it's working

Two days ago we began a campain on anointed.net to try and become the first website ranked in the top 1% of the entire internet. I sent out a private message to all of our "power" users and asked everyone to please help out by installing a toolbar for us. Many of you replied, and thank you so much.
It really made me sad to see that there were no christian websites ranked that high, and we decided it was time to fight to bring glory to the Lord by having at least one site that far up.

A HUGE thank you to all of our members who are helping us out with this project.
The results are allready amazing, and we've only just begun.
Below is a chart showing what just a one day difference can make, and this is with only 20 or so members participating. I know the Lord has huge plans for this and that as time goes on many more members will jump on board with us.
The chart shows our overall web ranking where being number 1 is the most visited site on the internet. Our goal for the Lord is to make it to the top 1,000 sites.

As you can see, it's a HUGE jump allready. As we continue we will bring so much glory to the Lord that I can't hardly stand it.

That is a toolbar that will add itself to internet explorer for you. It will not only give you some really neat tools, but will also let them know that you visited our website, which directly effects ranking.
It will take us a full 3 months in order to have real effects, but in the long run, if we can add just 20 people a day using the bar, and this website, it will happen.

I hope that the top "1000" is only a short term goal!

Personally, I am shooting for the #1 slot, which is where God belongs!

well the current top 5 are
1. Yahoo
2. msn
3. google
4. microsoft
5. ebay

knocking them out would be virtually impossible, but with the Lord behind it... who knows... anything is possible. My goal for the next 3 mos is to hit the top 1k, then momentum alone would bring it to the top 100 within a year or two. Someday I would like to see at least 10% of the top 1k sites as being all christian websites... not just anointed.

Just imagine the day that you search the web and find more christian websites than porn...

You can also get to that page by clicking the blue number in the toolbar. That will give you relevant information for every website you visit. It's kind of the entire point to this tool.

Ultimatelly the page I dream of making it to is at:

I see a day where there is a different christian website listed each and every week.

cool you can see almost all that people are doing on here in how many times they visit a page etc and how many have the tool bar etc awesome, and it does block pop ups which is good

Yeah, I've had a lot of fun with the toolbar myself, and I love the popup blocker how it asks me on a per site basis whether to allow or not.

I wanted to let everyone know that it continues to work. We jumped again yesterday and made the top 10k for the first time.

Any idea how many people actually are using it?

Is there a way to put a button on the registration page for people who are new and signing up for the first time? Sort of like the button for the realplayer you have for the live broadcasts?

And maybe a button on the prayer board, front or home pages?

Just asking.

I signed up and see the tool bar up there. I was nervous today (yesterday now), becasue I was tryingt to get onto a shoe site for Bass shoes (G.H. Bass company), and I ended up on a beer site! I was wondering what beer and shoes had to do with each other....Anyway, I remembered alexa, and hoped they didn't think I meant to go there. But most of the sites will be Christian or shopping (hey, it's a woman thing).

I turned off the pop up blockers, because some of the music stations require them to play. Can someone explain to me how to turn the pop up blocker back on? Not sure where I went....How do you get the sites to ask you that, AW, by using alexa as your search engine?

You are thinking about the original thread about the toolbar. Your posts are still there. There have been no posts removed from this thread. I checked the other thread, and both of your posts at the end are still there. It's the very first thread in the announcements thread and your posts are the last ones in that thread.

just in case I hadn't said it, thanks so much for helping. It's allready made a hude difference. I don't have time tonight, as we're shutting the servers down in a few minutes for upgrades, but I'll be writing a pretty detailed letter about why alexa, and the situation with the other popular search engines and what they are now up to. Suffice it to say, that enless you have a ton of money, your website, in the future, will never be listed on the main engines. They are going to a payed add system only, and the cost is so high that even a site our size could not afford to be spidered and listed....It's actually very sad news as the net goes. Certain parties desire to monopolize the web for larger companies is allready underway.
More to come in the future.....

Sorry Shawn for the mix-up...it's been an IMMENSELY long day...more than usual. Our electricity shutting off for a brief moment this morning has done something to my pc & even though it seems ok now, hubby talked me into backing up all the stuff I wanted to save & he is going to reinstall my OS... I thought he was going to do it tonight, but he changed it to tomorrow...which is kind of a bummer, because it took much time to back up what I wanted to save, & I could have used that time & my right arm doing something better.
Although I am not on here posting as much as I was at one time, due to obligations here at home, I am getting where I am at least coming on more & praying in the spirit...I know I should be leaving replies...but honestly...it hurts to type.
ANyhow... Alexa is working out great for me, & I like that you are able to shut it off when you use it. I use it specifically for here, & will encourage others to do as well, even if they leave it on all the time. It is great to see those numbers change so much in so short of time! WOW! Do you have any way of knowing how many people on anointed.net are using it? A verse comes to mind:

that's us...who are chasing the porn off the ratings by coming up in the polls! Giving the Glory to God where it belongs!
