In fear of being homeless

I was told over the weekend that if I do not come up with the rent I will have to leave. I do not have any money. I have tried to sell a few of my belonings with no luck. A lady from church says I should go on welfare. She also said I am not humble and too proud. I am single I do not think it is right to go on welfare. If I could sell some things It would really help until I get my business off the ground. Thank you and keep me in prayer.

Protect her, comfort her and surround her with Your peace as she knows without a shadow of a doubt that You are working in her life. Your are Jehovah Jireh, Provider. mattie,
I was in a similar situation last year. The day a Section 8 housing spot opened for me was the first day on my job, and I was over the income limit. If you need to take help from welfare or charity, please don't be too proud. It's better than living on the street.

Heavenly Father,
Please help mattie like You helped me. Bless her with a job and guide her to any sort of immediate, practical help for her situation. Make the way for her rent payment where she and we currently see none. Bless her with the rent money and/or mercy from the landlord. Thank You for helping her. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.

Sister,

What that woman told you about not being humble and having pride, was not of God. Is she in fear of being homeless? I can guarantee you she would be terrified! I have been just where you are many times. One time I had to live at the YMCA! That was an experience!

There is absolutly no shame on going on welfare. That is what it is there for! You don't have to have a family of five to be eligible! You just put this in the Lord's hands, have faith, praise Him even if you don't feel like it, and don't give up. I wish I were in the financial situation to help you, but I am living paycheck to paycheck and just getting my needs met. Even when I wasn't walking with the Lord, he still extended his grace and mercy to me and made sure I was provided for. He will do the same for you. There are resources out there. You just have to find them. Don't let what that woman said to you discourage you. You will be safe. God will wrap his arms around you and keep you.

Love in Him!
