Urgent Need of Prayer for my father!

Please pray for my father in his time of need, he has COPD and has seemed to lost all interest in many areas of life. He has no energy to even go to work somedays. My father and I haven't always seen eye to eye through the years but I love him dearly and he has always been there for me when I ever needed any help with things my or the children needed. In all my years I can say I only seen him cry twice and he cryed the other day because he feels that he has lost a lot of things due to the c.o.p.d. We have tryed to get him to quit smoking because evrytime he goes in teh hospital it gets a little worse each time and each time he loses his oxygen level until the doctor said one day he just might not be ablt to come out of it. I am frighted that this is going to happen if he doesn't quit. I ask that you pray for my father that he finds the strength to not only quit smoking but to get the energy back in his life and the motavtion he needs to live a long healthy life.

Lord,
We ask your mercy for this man's health and for his soul.
We pray deliverance from anything causing him problems and for your healing on any damage already done from the cigarettes because it is a very hard thing to stop smoking. Please help him and give him hope to live and more energy. May he turn to you for the hope and help of his life and let him know his son is praying for him.

Oh dear gracious Lord, have mercy upon this dear man. Please spare him from self-destruction. Don't let him give up on himself. Give him strength, motivation, inspiration, encouragement, energy, confidence and power. Please make him feel better. Let him know he is loved. Relieve him of his depression, which is crippling him. I ask this desperately in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.
