New Prayerboard coming tomorrow (saturday)

I have some very exciting news for everyone reguarding this prayer board. We have spent a considerable amount of time setting up an all new prayer board for anointed.net
Not only will the look and feel of the website totally change, but there are going to be many new features added. I have a number of additions to make to the board, and was not able to do so untill I managed to upgrade the software foundation. That work is now complete.
None of the user accounts or threads on this board will be lost. Everything will be transferred over to the new system.

I expect the full move to be made tomorrow afternoon (Sat April 24th). During that time our prayerboard will be taken offline for a few hours to complete the changes. It is necessary in order to make sure that all the database information is transferred and no new members are signed up or no new posts are made during that short period of time. It should take no more than a couple of hours at most to complete.

I also plan on launching an all new prayer vigil module for the site this weekend as well. It is an entirelly new system for signing up to be prayed for, and to pray for others during specific hours of the day that we hold the vigils.
It is NOT part of this prayerboard, but a feature added to the main website. You will need to make sure to login to the homepage in order to add yourself to the vigil. NO longer will you have to use the forums to signup to be prayed for or to pray for people. There will be a very easy system setup for this, that will require no-ones time to manage.
I will post much more on this when it's ready to go.

Whoo Hoo sounds like fun cant wait to see it praise God I go to work at noon and will be home at 6 pm so wont be able to see it till then...

Well I appologize for not having the new system up yet. I have spent the last 2 days waiting for our coder in Mexico to get online with his part of the code. He has not contacted me since friday and missed our saturday appointment. I hope to hear from him sometime Monday, and will post a new notice when I have a new timeframe.

Actually that was a false start. We are not ready to launch the new system. I had just accidentally changed the links to the board. It's going to be some time before the system is ready as we lost our lead prayerboard programmer yesterday. I will have to figure out how to do the conversion myself. Estimated time is anywhere from 30-90 days.
I'm sorry for this, but there is no quick solution.

There is not reason to be sorry Shawn. The new things you are working on are icing on the cake. This site is awsome as is, and your improvement are great too. I am patient and I think the others are too.

Thank you for the kind words. Your right, it is a lot of work keeping this site running and the changes are cutting edge which makes finding programmers difficult.WE can really use your prayers now. For the past 2 years we've been working side by side with a master programmer from Mexico. It is because of him that you are able to only register once, but still use the prayerboard, and the main site with the same login. The relationship with this programmer ended horribly yesterday, and all ties are now cut off.
In order to get the new system up and running we are now starting from scratch. We need to locate another coder with the expertise to continue this project. We really need everyone to pray hard that we find a replacement coder with the same abilities in order to coninue improving this site. Right now I'm "down in the valley" but I'm sure that the Lord has an even better coder and blessing right around the corner.
Over the next 3-4 days we will be moving this entire website to a brand new server. It will not only prove to be much more secure, but this site will also function much faster than ever before. There may be additional downtime, but we'll try to keep it at a minimum.

Amen !!! Doesnt the Lord always turn things that look bad initially, into something even better than we had hoped for ?
This could be a blessing in disguise. We have a wonderful site here, with or without the new system. i agree with AW, the Lord will provide an even better programmer!

Lord Jesus we may not always see "logic" in what You do, but we know that what You do is the best. Father I ask that You grant us all patience and bring Shaun to greater heights in his abilities than he has ever known before and that You would sent to this site the programmer what You would have in place. Father let him come here seeking prayer and stay as a progarmmer. Lord let this witness be to Your glory. In Jesus' name I pray, Amen.
